When magic strikes and Atlanta goes to pieces, it’s a job for Kate Daniels…
Drafted to work for the Order of Knights of Merciful Aid, mercenary Kate Daniels has more paranormal problems these days than she knows what to do with. And in Atlanta, where magic comes and goes like the tide, that’s saying a lot.
But when Kate’s werewolf friend Derek is discovered nearly dead, she must confront her greatest challenge yet. As her investigation leads her to the Midnight Games—an invitation-only, no-holds-barred, ultimate preternatural fighting tournament—she and Curran, the Lord of the Beasts, uncover a dark plot that may forever alter the face of Atlanta’s shapeshifting community…
I really don’t think Kate can catch a break! This one starts off with action and just when she thinks she can breathe she is asked to look into a pack death. Then she finds out her werewolf friend Derek is in trouble and was found verly alive and Kate wants some answers. She finds a bit more than she bargained for when things bring her to the Midnight Games.
This series has some very interesting characters! Even though I really like Kate and Curran I think in this one I have to highlight Saiman he is one weird dude and in this one we get to know a bit more about him and his true form which was interesting and still slightly confusing but sounded pretty badass!
I love a book with lots of action and this one has a lot of it which really keeps me wanting to know what is going on. I am already curious to see what kind of a mess Kate gets herself into! Also curious about how things are going to go with her and Curran! 😉 Bring on Book 4!
I really enjoyed the narrator as always Renee Raudman does an excellent job!!
