TTT ~ Books from my favorite genre

June 4, 2019 Memes 6

Top Ten Tuesday is now being hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week there will be a question to answer and I am not sure how well I will do but I am going to try and do this as much as possible during the month, some of those questions are tough! 🙂

 Books From My Favorite Genre

So my favorite genre is mystery and since there are a lot of different kinds of mystery I am just going to give you some of my favorites in all the varies mystery types. 🙂

I can’t seem to just name a single book when most of my favorites are in series form. 🙂

Historical Mysteries

The Veronica Speedwell mysteries – I love the banter between Veronica and Stoker! I don’t have a lot of book boyfriends but Stoker is definitely one! 🙂 It seems like forever waiting on the next book!

The Kat Holloway mysteries – This is a book featuring a cook in an upstairs/downstairs type situation. The cook is always solving murders with the help of another favorite gentleman, Daniel. 🙂 Currently reading the third book that comes out this month!

Gaslight Mysteries – This one is about a midwife who is very good at solving crimes against the better judgement of the detective who she is always helping. I am behind on this series as I am only on #9 out of 22!!

A Gilded Age Mystery – A historical mystery series not based in England…lol. This one is in New York and very enjoyable.

Cozy Mysteries

Tourist Trap Mysteries – My first venture into cozy mysteries and has my favorite couple in it Jill and Greg.

The Library Lovers Mysteries – I just started this series this year and I loved it so much I am already caught up and reading to read book #10! I love a good mystery involving librarians!

Lucky Paws Petsitting Mysteries – This was one where the main character wasn’t my favorite person but she grew on me and I love all the cute dogs and of course detective Jonathan Black! 🙂

The Sophie Kimball Mysteries – This series is so fun! Sophie works as a bookkeeper for a PI but her mother thinks pretty much that that means she is a PI as she is always involving her in a murder case. I love cozies with a fun bunch of senior citizens!!

British Mysteries

DI Nikki Galena series – This one is kind of dark at times but I really like Nikki and her DS Joseph Easter. I really need to catch up on this series as I have gotten behind!

Helen Grace series – I love a tough female and Detective Helen Grace is definitely that and this one is also a bit dark. It seems like a lot of British crime novels are on the dark side. This detective has a strange way of dealing with her emotions!

And there you have it some of my favorites.

Such great series here. You know I love Veronica and Stoker and Lucky Paws and the Library Series is great too. I have the Sophie Kimball book slated for August for Dog Days of Summer.
