TripleThreatReviewThree cozy mysteries from the same series! I figured it would be easier to just throw them all into one post! ๐Ÿ™‚

I just made this an overall average of how I feel about this series. ๐Ÿ™‚

Bells, Spells and Murder by Carol J. Perry #7

Lee Barrett is now the new field reporter and while covering a story by interviewing a beloved chairman of a popular walking tour of Salem’s historical district, she finds him dead. Of course she can’t just leave things alone and has to try and figure out what happened to the old man. She soon finds some interesting suspects including a Santa. ๐Ÿ™‚ Yes, this one is centered around Christmas.

I really enjoy this series and this one was very enjoyable. It’s a series set in Salem with witches but it’s not extremely supernatural. Lee’s friend is a witch and Lee herself is a scryer but it’s never very overly done so if you are not big on paranormal type things you might still enjoy this one. ๐Ÿ™‚

Final Exam by Carol J. Perry #8

In this oneย  Lee’s aunt Ibby is having a 45th class reunion and Ibby is helping with the preparations with some of her friends from back then. Then a car is brought up from a ravine with human remains and Lee is on the case as investigative reporter. Lee is interested in the reaction that her aunt is having when she hears about the car that was found. Then she finds out that it is connected to Pete, her detective boyfriends, cold case and Lee can’t help but investigate.

It seems that aunt Ibby’s boyfriend went missing before Prom and all this time she thought he ran off, but he had been dead. Someone had been sending her and the boy’s mom postcards all this time and it was hard for them to believe that the remains was really him. It was a very emotional murder investigation for Lee’s aunt Ibby especially when one of her friends could be the killer.

I really enjoyed this one! I always enjoy hanging out with Lee, Pete and aunt Ibby!

Late Checkout by Carol J. Perry #9

In this one Lee isn’t to happy with the fact that her boss has decided to have a relation to him intern at the station and therefore taking some of her hours as a reporter. There isn’t anything she can do about it so she starts volunteering at her aunts library. When she goes up to the stacks she finds a dead body surrounded by books much like in a vision she had seen. She was also told about someone else who had died in a similar way so of course the reporter in her must sleuth things out to find out what happened. The old man that was killed it seems use to work at the new station and he was a baseball player with a gambling problem. There is also maybe a very expensive card circulating around and all of it has Lee checking things out to find a killer!

This one was a little hard to figure out for me and I really enjoyed the story.ย  It’s always a lot of fun hanging out with those here in Salem!
