The Week In Review #94 ~It’s hot so hot!

June 26, 2016 Misc. 22

BMR,OHMy (1)The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading? Β If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

Oh my goodness it’s hot, I don’t know how those who are in those states where it’s like 115 or something like that. It’s only in the 90’s here but the heat index is in the 100’s and it’s so hot…ugh. I like warm weather, but I don’t like hot weather. πŸ™ Makes me wish I had a pool!

My garden is taking the brunt of this heat though and the other day the heat index was 112 and boy you could tell my poor little plants all started shriveling and burning…sighs. I gave them a good watering and was very happy to see it rain Thursday night and a little Friday morning. I think we are suppose to get some more rain next week so that will be good as long as it doesn’t rain all week I can handle bits of rain but I hate when that is all it does.

It looks like I was extremely busy on my blog but really most of it was already scheduled except for the Spotlight and Fixin to Die review…lol. I have been really non bloggy this week and not really read much either. πŸ™ I am going to blame it on the heat cause it’s still hot even with our AC…lol.

Oh went and seen Central Intelligence with my dad and I think my IQ went down a bit. It was kind of funny but way more stupid than the commercials lead me to believe. The Rock was real good at being real dumb at times and Kevin Hart is funny but some times just to over the top. I am not a fan of stupid comedies, I just like your standard funny so it was okay but nothing I would watch again.

I hate the heat! Is it winter yet! The only thing I like about summer is that the kids can go swimming and I love that. They enjoy the water so much. You have a large yard,I think it’s time to get a pool next to the green house πŸ˜‰

One week, I would love to see you get no books at all πŸ˜‰
Tantor totally spoiled you this week! Serafina is a great book, I am currently reading the second one but haven’t had a chance to really get into it yet because everyone keeps talking to me. That needs to stop πŸ˜‰

Have a great week, Stormi! Happy Reading! ox Miss your face!!!

Michelle! Did you just blaspheme on my blog and ask for me to get no books at all!!!! Shame on you! πŸ™‚

I don’t like hot, but I don’t want winter either! I like warm weather and yes I think it’s time for a pool but I probably won’t be getting one..maybe I can catch one on sale at the end of summer and save it back for next year. πŸ™‚

    • Stormi

I like summer but this year it’s just really hot, normally not so bad. Though I do prefer just warm not hot weather, I am not looking forward to winter as I really hate being cold…lol. I am just never satisfied. πŸ™‚

    • Stormi

Yeah, she said once she has sent them out they are mind to do with as I please. She is even cool about getting me like book one and two if book three is out and I think the series sounds great. I always send her a list of reviews about once every two weeks so that she knows I am reviewing them but she has never told me I need to hurry it up and I have even told her to let me know if I request to many but so far she hasn’t said anything. πŸ™‚ Which is probably not a good thing…lol. πŸ™‚

The heat is cranking up! Yesterday wasn’t so bad outside but we did have a lot of cloud cover and random showers of sprinkles, which made the festival bearable. What I don’t like is being outside and my clothes sticking to me. It’s uncomfortable even in your own skin. My little plants are also suffering the sun and getting burnt up. πŸ™

We got a good rain last night and it has cooled things down a little and suppose to rain all week so finally a cool down. πŸ™‚ Not thrilled about rain all week but we needed it so I will take it. πŸ™‚

It’s been hot here too…ugh. Pretty insufferable this week- but probably nothing compared to the heat in some places. Glad I don’t live in those places lol. And yeah a pool would be nice. πŸ™‚

Speaking of stupid movies I watched part of San Andreas one night as I was bored- the rock was in that too. I mean it’s not horrible I guess but it’s pretty dumb lol. Is he in every movie now??

Yeah, I don’t think I could handle those places that I have seen it being over 100…blah.

I actually liked San Andreas even thought it had a lot of unbelievable things happening…I like the Rock but just not Central Intelligence just to dumb…lol. He is in a lot of movies now days, it probably pays more than wrestling…lol.

We are going to be in the 80’s this week but it will be raining..ugh. We need the rain though so I will live with it and my garden needed it badly. πŸ™‚

Heat really bothers me as well. I know I am getting sinus/allergy problems and paid $20.00 for Allegra D yesterday so I know I was desperate. We had horrible storms and I am sure you have seen a lot of WV is flooded and in horrible shape. We were very lucky and didn’t get everything a lot of counties got. However, the storms kept Booker T and us up for 5 hours in which the stress brought on a case of pancreatitis so we at the emergency vet again last night. Glad you enjoyed going to the movies with your father. The Rock kind of bugs me but I like Kevin Hart. Great audio book haul. I grabbed The Last Necromancer too and love the cover. Hope we get some showers this week as well – but no more storms!

My sinus/allergies have been bad as well. I hope those meds help! I have seen all the flooding in WV, we have some friends there so I do get worried about those living there. I like rain but not storms, we had a good rain last night which my garden needed. πŸ™‚ OMG when it storms I get no sleep cause I have all my little fur babies plus one big part great dane baby who is scare of the storm and thinks he should sleep on my bed and takes up the whole thing!!!

  5. Lola

I don’t like too warm weather either, here it’s been warm, but luckily not too warm yet. I hope your plants are doing a bit better after some rain.

I often forget about the pending requests on netgalley especially if it has been a few weeks. I have one request pending for weeks now and almost forget it’s still there.

You got a nice stack of audio’s! Thanks for letting me know about The Last Necromancer, I was curious about that one and didn’t realize it was free. I hope you’ll have a great week!

It’s hot in CA too but at least you got rain. We probably won’t be seeing rain for a couple of months. You got a lot of Tantor audios and I missed all of those. I have to look at the release list closer lol. I hope you enjoy all of your new books and have a great week!
