The Week In Review #9

Week ReviewThe Week In Review is where I slap together Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading!

So not a whole lot happened this week. I lead a fairly boring life..lol. At work I was told I was going to be training for something different. I will be what they call ‘squatting’ in the Book Fair division. Basically I will be doing restock orders for Book fairs but only doing emails and faxes the best part about this means I don’t have to be on the phone so much! I did this last year when I worked at Scholastic so I already sort of new what I was doing. This year the training was two eight and a half hour days, so that really screwed with my schedule seeing I always have Fridays off and had to come in for training..lol. Β So I start doing that job on Monday, but I am still technically in the Reading Clubs section so that is why we are called Squatters cause we are only helping them but not actually moving to that section.

I hope everyone had a great Halloween, I didn’t really do anything as I was just plain tired on Β Friday night..lol.

Saturday I took my dog to the groomers so now she is all purdy again. πŸ™‚ She was not a happy camper though and has been giving me the cold shoulder treatment most of the day. She just started coming over to me in the evening..lol. Β Now I have to get her a sweater because it’s getting cold and she no longer has her long hair.

I also want to thank everyone who stopped by during Monsters, Madmen, Mayhem. Oh my! I will be gathering up winners for the giveaways shortly and letting everyone know who one. Just been to busy this weekend to get it done. Β I think I will try this again next year but be a little bit more organized and give myself more time as it was sort of a spur of the moment thing..lol.

I used to have a chow chow, Molly, who I had groomed. She looked so cute with her big lion head, fluffy legs and tail, and short hair on her body. Looked like a lion. Boy, she wouldn’t go for a sweater though!
I just wrapped up the Spooktacular Giveaway Hop. Had so much fun and met some new bloggers and word lovers. Also found some grat new authors and books. You did good to abstain from NetGalley. I’m trying not to be tempted too. LOL
Here is my Sunday Post – http://fuonlyknew.com/2014/11/02/whats-new-on-my-bookshelf-85-and-the-sunday-post/

Your dog is so cute, Stormi! And even if she didn’t appreciate the actual grooming, she’ll probably get over it soon enough, right?
I need to check out the Netgalley November thing. I am doing pretty well with my ARCs these days, but it’s so hard not to click request for books I know I’m going to get anyway.
I hope squatting with the book fair people will be nice, and that you are feeling less tired now than you did after having to work on your day off πŸ™‚
    Have a fantastic week.

She has gotten over it but it was so funny on the way home she wouldn’t even look at me..lol

Well my precentage is pretty horrible and I need to get caught up. I am trying to stop stressing over reviewing and the first then I had to do was to quit picking up books to review when I have so many to read already..harder than it sounds…lol.

    Have a fantastic week too!

Thanks! She is a handful as she is still just a pup..lol. You should read book one, I enjoyed it! πŸ™‚ Have a great week!

Nice review of Sleepy Hollow, I think I would feel the same way. I remember the cartoon and that’s what I think of when I think of this, and I suspect the actual classic story might disappoint me too! And Kathy’s review of High Halleck was interesting- I read some Andre Norton growing up and some of her stuff I really liked, and some I didn’t. Kind of a mixed bag.

  5. Katherine @ I Wish I Lived in a Library

What a cutie your dog is! I can understand her getting her feelings hurt after going to the groomers though. I knew a Sheltie who was shaved to help deal with the summer heat and he lurked around in corners for about a week very clearly embarrassed! The changing divisions at works sounds a little chaotic. Hopefully everything has settled down now though! How are you liking Guidebook to Murder? Have a great week!

Thanks! She got over it by the end of the day but she was pretty sulky there for a while..lol. I finished and enjoyed Guidebook to Murder and I am going to start listening to the second one soon. πŸ™‚

LOL, yeah she smells so good, I need to ask her what shampoo she uses… Thanks for stopping by!

  6. Berls @ Fantasy is More Fun

Lol! Buffy doesn’t go to the groomers – she’s super easy to groom at home – but she is not a fan. She just had a bath last night actually and, as usual, ran around the house trying to get the water off. Its hilarious and my favorite part πŸ˜›

Your job sounds so interesting! Can I work there too (but in Texas)? LOL! I hope squatting works out well this week πŸ˜‰
