BMR,OHMy (1)The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading? ย If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

So this post is pretty much all about BEA and my fun time there and the haul. ๐Ÿ™‚

So for anyone who has never been to BEA it is exhausting but also a lot of fun. You are on your feet for hours walking around and looking at publishers exhibits or standing in line for an autograph. (I was to shy to ask for a photo with my favorite authors and totally forgot to pics of them as well! though I did get a few pics of some authors.) And as much fun as that was I really had more fun just hanging out with my blogger friends afterwards.

Look at that mob, the first day wasn’t very organized…lol. That pic of me, I might be smiling but look at those tired eyes. ๐Ÿ™‚ย

I tried to be as selective as I could with the amount of books I seen and if you have seen others hauls you will know there were a lot of ย books…lol. I also knew that I was going to have to fed ex most of mine back and that took a hit on my pocket book. (next time I am going by train like Berls as she could have a lot of luggage…lol.)

Day one Haul

Day one wasn’t so bad as ย it was only a half a day, but the next two days I was one tired gal. We got there early to get in line around 7;30ish am and normally left around 3 or 3:30 in the afternoon. That is a lot of walking and standing for this gal. ๐Ÿ™‚

Day two haul

While I was walking around on one of the days I found this cute little ninja guy and found out he was a north pole ninja so had to have my pic taken with him…lol. And then here is a few pics of authors once I actually remembered to take some…lol.

By the third day my feet and legs were so sore I took many breaks and I am sure I missed out on some good books but I am happy with the haul that I got. I was really their to meet my blogging friends and that was the best fun! I am now ready to try something like RT so I am going to save my monies up for 2017 in hopes of going to Atlanta! ๐Ÿ™‚

Yeah, I hate when some bloggers spoil things for others by selling ARC’s, etc. ๐Ÿ™ Also guess there are some saying we shouldn’t get all those books, but heck the publishers practically shoved them at you…lol. ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope we meet a con some time too! I really want to try and go to more. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Stormi

It was…lol. It was a lot of fun and meeting some of my blogger friends for the first time was probably the best part of the whole thing. ๐Ÿ™‚

Our mistake the first day was staying together, we really didn’t help each other with the grab only what you want. Such bad influences on each other. ๐Ÿ™‚
I had so much fun hanging with you, I really do miss you a lot.
I still love that little Ninja Elf guy and I am surprised I didn’t take a picture with him but I was standing in line for Berls. I might have to make a point of getting that book just to have the little stuffed guy and Christmas…you know I love Christmas!!!

Have a great week, Stormi! Happy Reading! *hugs*

Yeah, that was probably unwise but we should have known we would not stick to our plan of not grabbing much…lol. ๐Ÿ™‚ I had a blast hanging with you and can’t wait to do it again! ๐Ÿ™‚ I miss you and I even miss Scott! He was fun in his own dry sense of humor way. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I kind of want the North Pole Ninja book myself. ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh, so lovely to see your pics Stormi! And Michael Connelly!!!! I didn’t know a lot of the authors in pics shared while people were there. (As you know, I have very boring mainstream tastes!) So it’s nice to see a familiar name and face.

It sounds like it was great, though I can completely understand being exhausted. I would have needed breaks as well!

There wasn’t a lot of authors that I actually knew at BEA so it was fun to get autographs from some of the ones I did know. I admit to not reading much from Michael Connelly but I knew who he was and I have some of his books on my shelf. ๐Ÿ™‚

It was a lot of fun and totally exhausting and I would do it again…lol.

    • Stormi

I will be better prepared for the next one since this was my first time, I am also hoping I will be thinner and able to stand on my feet more before getting tired. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m so glad you were able to go and have so much fun. I am going to have to check out your Goodreads shelf as I am sure I will be adding a lot to my TBR. The totes are cute and do I see a dog one there? See, you can’t help yourself when it comes to cute pups – haha. Are you dogs doing OK now that you are back. I am sure as much fun as you had, you missed them tremendously. Booker T says THANKS for the birthday wishes. Oh, hope your Dad is recovering nicely as well.

I am glad I got to go too. It was a lot of fun and I have seen post from other years and I was so happy it came closer to me. There were a lot of totes and I only got a few…lol. Looking at others post I can see I missed a lot of books, but I still got enough…lol.

My dogs are still not happy about being in a pen but they are doing okay. They were real excited when I got home. Dad is doing well and walking with a cane, but his leg is still tender.

Looks like such a fun time… I go to gaming conventions now and then and while they’re different kinds of shows I’m sure some of the vibe is the same. always fun. And awesome stack! Looks like a lot of good stuff… and I think Click Here to Start looks good too.

I hope you like Guaranteed to Bleed. ๐Ÿ™‚

I would love to go to a gaming con!!! I bet they are still pretty fun. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Stormi

Yeah, it was fun but very tiring. I am hoping to be thinner next time and maybe I won’t be as exhausted. It was my feet and legs that were bothering me the most.

I thought it was easier to do my hauls by days…lol. ๐Ÿ™‚ The only reason I knew the days were first day was in my bag, second day was first package to arrive home and third day was the last package…lol. ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Stormi

I did have a great time. I hope you get to go some time as it’s something every blogger should experience at least once. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Stormi

I might get to go next year so if I do we shall have to meet up! ๐Ÿ™‚ Exhausting fun is a lot more fun than just plain exhausting…lol.

    • Stormi

Yeah, BEA is pretty overwhelming. I would love to do smaller conventions too if I could find one close by. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Stormi

It was hard to do but I had a lot of fun. You might do better at a smaller convention. ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Lola

I am glad to hear you had fun at BEA, I can imagine the standing on your feet the whole day would be exhausting. I really would like to meet some bloggers in real life and I can see how that would be one fo the best parts of a convention like this. That’s a fun picture of you holding that paper for where the line starts.
Looks like you had a great haul at BEA! And I can imagine it’s difficult being selective when there are so many good books. I also got Guaranteed to Bleed lately when it was discounted. now I have book 1 and 2 even though I haven’t read the first book yet. I hope you’ll have a great week!
