The Week In Review #83

April 3, 2016 Misc. 36

BMR,OHMy (1)The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading? Β If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

So I mentioned I was going to be seeding some veggie plants last week and boy they grew faster than I was expecting and now I got little plants galore! The pic below is just some of them. I am running out of portable greenhouse space! I told dad I need a real greenhouse…lol. Maybe that will be a project for next year! πŸ™‚

2016-04-02_19.50.26[1]

Well, I was outside a lot on Tuesday helping with the compost that my dad and cousin when and got and then woke up the next day with the sinus crud again because of my allergies. πŸ™ Now I am back to hardly being able to talk, nose clogged and just feeling blah. πŸ™

So I didn’t do a whole lot this week but listen to audios and do a bit of reading cause I didn’t feel like much else, hoping I feel a bit better next week cause I need to mow before the grass gets any taller!

Other than that nothing much to report.

I guess this means I really need to read this one since I have been given two copies. πŸ™‚

I admit to being to lazy to take a picture of them and loading to computer….lol.

Looks like your plants are doing great. Maybe you can get a bigger greenhouse next year. You could then have veggies year round. Yum!

I hope you enjoy all your books and I agree that the Audible Daily Deals are great. Like you, many times I’m not interested, but they are a great deal when I am.

I hope you have a great week and better luck with your allergies.

    • Stormi

Yeah, I am excited about how well my plants are doing. πŸ™‚ Now I just need to get my boxes built for our raised garden so that we can get the compost in it and prepare to plant later this month after we are sure the last frost has happened. πŸ™‚

  2. Laura Thomas

Sorry about the crud, Stormi. I hope you feel better soon. Everything is growing and blooming like mad here and my car is coated in green pollen every morning. Yuck! My lawn guy retired and I’m trying to find a new one that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. In the meantime, my back yad is looking like a field. LOL
I’m reading The Drafter right now. Pretty intense.

    • Stormi

Yeah, I am so tired of this crud but I have a feeling it’s only going to get worse as spring and summer go full blast and I am outside more…blah.

I wish I had a lawn guy….lol. Glad you are liking The Drafter, I read the novella and liked it so I am sure I will like it once I just settle down and read it.

  3. Stacy Renee @ LazyDayLit

Woohoo for your plants doing so well! Boo for the allergies! It’s full strength pollen season here and while it doesn’t seem to bother me, everyone I know is affected by it. I hope you feel better soon!
I’d love to read The Great Hunt! I hope you enjoy it! πŸ™‚

I hope your sinus/allergy stuff clears up and you feel better this week. Glad your plants are growing!

I have A Study in Charlotte on my TBR pile and I will have to check out the Grantchester mysteries sometime. I enjoy the show and need to watch the first episode of season two.

I started subscribing to the Audible Daily Deals so now I get an email every morning. I haven’t bought one yet but now I know I won’t miss something I’d want.

    • Stormi

I love the Grantchester show too! That is what got me into the books. I just watched the first episode last week it was pretty good. I love Robson Green(the detective) he is one of my favorite British actors. πŸ™‚

  5. Michelle@Because Reading

If this weather would stop being stupid I could get my garden ready.
I am sorry you aren’t feeling good. This time of year is the worst for people with allergies/sinus issues.

Let me know what you think of Harmony House, I didn’t like it, so I am curious what you think.

Have a great week, Stormi! Happy Reading!

Oh no, you didn’t like Harmony House, I hope I do. I am liking A Study in Charlotte and you didn’t like it so fingers crossed…lol. πŸ™‚ Hope you can get your garden prep going soon. πŸ™‚

  6. Greg

Wow you got lots of stuff growing! Looks like lots of cozies too- and I like that cover of The great Hunt. You’ve got a pretty good slate of books there. πŸ™‚

    • Stormi

Yeah and that is not all of it….lol. I think I got over excited! πŸ™‚ I am sure my cousin will take most of it and my brother is wanting to make a small garden. πŸ™‚

  7. Barb(boxermommyreads)

You are lucky to get The Drafter. I think I made up my mind to read it eventually because I want to read the sequel novella…strictly because it features Jenks. How sad is that? Your little growths are so cute…if they can be called cute. Sinus problems are the worst and I can really relate!

Have you read the novella if not you should read it before Drafter. I need to get to it and I need to read more of The Hollow series..I have the novella that has the two series in it and I think it will be interesting. πŸ™‚

  8. Lola

Wow your plants are growing great! A real greenhouse, that would be cool! We re-potted a plant that was dying at the begin of spring and it’s growing like crazy these past few weeks, probably due to the good weather.

I hope you’re feeling better soon! That sinus thing sounds nasty. I got Buried a few weeks ago, it sounds like a good one! Oh I hope you’ll read Flipped for Murder soon, I enjoyed that one. I hope you’ll have a great week!

I was hoping to get to Flipped for Murder this week but not sure it’s going to happen. πŸ™

    • Stormi

Yes, they are! I am feeling a bit better but I keep having to work outside so it’s not really helping…lol.

  9. Deborah

Oh Stormi I’m impressed by your green thumb! What a great hobby to have. I kill everything. I know I’m a bit slack about watering plants but I really don’t mean to kill them!

I hope you’re feeling better soon though – perhaps you could get a mask or something for when you’re dealing with the compost!

    • Stormi

I just hope I can keep my green thumb going and it turns into yummy veggies. πŸ™‚

    • Stormi

Thanks, my plants are looking great, I just hope they turn into yummy veggie producing plants this summer. πŸ™‚

  10. Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookviews

It always amazes me how quickly plants grow when the time, light and everything else is right!
I feel you with your sinuses, Stormi, I have the same problem – I even woke up in the middle of the night with a light asthma attack πŸ™ I love spring, but I HATE the allergies that come with it.
Have a wonderful week and happy reading! In five weeks, it’s time for BEA!!

Yeah, I wasn’t expecting such growth, can’t wait to be able to transplant some of them later this month. πŸ™‚

  11. Tressa @ Wishful Endings

I have terrible allergies too. I actually take an allergy pill every morning and as long as I’m consistent I seem to do okay. The Perfectly Proper Paranormal Museum sounds really good and I love Rachel Hawkins series, so I hope you get to the first two books so you can read the third. Lol! Have a fabulous week, Stormi, and thanks for stopping by!
