The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading? ย If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.
So not a lot going on this week but I did join weight watchers online. I am determined to lose some weight and need something to keep me motivated. They have an app with a connect type social media on it and now I am so addicted to seeing what everyone is posting about and eating…OMG it’s taking away from my reading…lol. So I am hoping to bring in my What’s Cooking post that I said I was going to do a while back and didn’t and maybe show off a WW meal that I cooked and enjoyed. ๐ Determined to lose this weight! Update: Weigh in was today 1.8 pounds down! Happy dance! ๐
I thought I was doing real well this week with only one review book then Harper Collins let the flood gate down on EW and boom one book went to five…ugh…darn that HC! ๐
Don’t forget Getting Cozy with a Mystery starts on Feb. 1st. I am going to be reading as many mysteries as I can and reviewing them during the month along with having a few guest authors on my blog and some giveaways. I hope you signed up to read some mysteries with me, where you read one or ten, it doesn’t matter. ๐

Stormi
Thanks! ๐
Melanie Simmons @mlsimmons
Yay for the weight loss!! I hope you enjoy your books.
Stormi
Thanks!
Greg
Ooh you read Santuary Bay last week? Hope it was good, cause I have that one on my short list to read hopefully this month. And Starflight I’m thinking about… Northwoods seems to be getting around too.
I have at least one cozy lined up for your mystery challenge. Should be fun!
Stormi
I am glad you are going to read a mystery with me during February. I am so behind, so I am a in a bit of a panic for February. I was hoping to have more read for reviews, but then it is about reading them during February. ๐
Michelle@Because Reading
I need to lose weight too but I am just so lazy when it comes to it. My sister did WW a long time ago and lost a LOT of weight she did really good. I am going to try something new this month because I really want to lose at least 20 lbs to start before the summer. Just need to get my head in the game to actually do it.
You should do Fitreaders that Felicia does, I might actually try that since I want to start walking and/or running when the weather gets nice. I just hate being out of breath when I walk up the stairs. Also look up bloglaties (I think that’s what it’s called) she has create challenges each month.
Have a great week, Stormi! Happy Reading! ox
Stormi
I am determined, I just got me a cheap fitbit but I figured I will upgrade when I lose a certain amount of weight…lol. I just signed up for Feb. fitreaders. ๐ I want to be able to walk around looking at all those lovely books and authors in May and not feel like I am going to die. ๐

Good luck with WW! I used it to get started on getting rid of the baby weight after the Tornado was born and it really helped get me moving. I hope you do the What’s Cooking post. That sounds fun! I have avoided Edelweiss but those Harper Collins releases are calling me. Must resist… I just finished A Disguise to Die For and thought it was really fun. Have a great week!
Stormi
I am really pumped this time for trying to lose weight, I feel like I am ready. I resisted peanut butter cookies today, I can do this…lol. ๐
Glad to hear that A Disguise to Die For funny, it sounds good. ๐

Yay for the weight loss! {{{posivibes}}} that it continues. I really need to lose weight, too. I’m just so damn lazy and a big procrastinator. lol I have made an effort to drink more water and eat healthier. I also managed to get on the dreadmill this week with an audiobook. ๐
Stormi
Thanks! I kept putting it off to and now my body is paying for it, my knees are really bad and I am sick and tired of being sick and tired so got to do something. ๐
Lola
I already signed up for the mystery event, I am hoping to get some cozy mysteries read this month. I already have a few reviews for cozy mysteries scheduled, but I read those before the challenge so they don’t count. I am looking forward to see what you have planned for this challenge :).
I really enjoyed A Scone to Die for and the sequel is good too so far! I hope you’ll have a great week!
Stormi
I didn’t get as much planned as I hoped, I think I needed help. So I got some interviews from authors set up. ๐ Got some books read, I am calling it more of a read-a-long than challenge….lol. ๐

Congrats on the weight lose and I am sure you will lose much more. What the Dead Want looks interesting. Can’t wait to see your thoughts.
Teresa Kander
Congrats on the weight loss! Lots of great books listed there: some I’m familiar with, and some I’m planning to check out. Looking forward to the new Joe Hill myself. ๐
Laura Thomas
You got The Fireman! So envious. I would love to read it. I did break my vow to myself and grab one book off of Netgalley. But I read and reviewed it ASAP! LOL Now I’m working on my backlog there and resisting more new ones. Yeah, right. LOL
Deborah
Well done on joining Weight Watchers and it sounds like the program’s changed a lot from when I did it last. I still get their emails. And the 1.8lb loss is great!
I know what you mean about floodgates… I was doing okay until a pile of books arrived last week and ALL were published in late January which means I’m kinda behind already!
