BMR,OHMy (1)The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading? Β If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

Well, I learnt this week that I am getting laid off a lot earlier than I thought I would. Last year I got to work till at least April but this time I am leaving there on the 11th of this month. πŸ™ Positive side I guess I have some time to work on that book I keep talking about. πŸ™‚

This is week two of my Weight Watchers adventure and I am please to say I have lost a total of 5.2 pounds so far. πŸ™‚ I like it cause it keeps me eating more healthy and tracking the points just keeps me in check. I got a fitbit and this was my first week using it. I signed up for fitreaders and realized just how much I lack motion. πŸ™ With a sit down job and then coming home and blogging I don’t walk around much, but it’s making me conscience of this so I am trying harder to make myself move even if it’s walking in place while watching TV, it beats just sitting. So working my way up to 10,000 steps. πŸ™‚

What you might have missed on my blog

Kathy reviewed The Pharaoh’s Secret, Sweet Filthy Boy, and Twins Passions.

Everything else was me! πŸ™‚ My Cozy events is well on it’s way. I hope everyone who are reading some mysteries this month are enjoying them. I know I am! πŸ™‚

Books I have added

Netgalley:

Once Upon a Time

Once Upon a Dream by Liz Braswell

I know a lot of people didn’t like the first book in the Twisted Fairy Tale series but I actually liked it so I thought I would see about this one. I was sent an email and it’s about Sleeping Beauty which I know even less about this story than I did Aladdin. I think I might have seen the Disney move once a long long time ago and know the gist of it…lol.

Audiobooks for review:

death of a dapper snowmanΒ death of an english muffinΒ murder on Marble row

Books bought (kindle):

The Lady Who Lived AgainΒ gentleman for all season

Books read last week

A Scone to Die ForΒ Quite ContraryΒ booked for troubleΒ Crocs ReturnΒ sweet dreams bake shop

Looks like all I did was listen to books this week…lol. I actually only had a couple hours left of Quite Contrary when this week started so that one went quick, then Booked For Trouble was so good I just kept listening to it while blogging and Croc’s Return was a shorter one at 6.5 hours and I listened to it on Friday. πŸ™‚ The Sweet Dreams Bake Shop was only 4.5 hours so got it done by Saturday. πŸ™‚

Currently reading

doll's houseΒ Deadly Cliche

What might be up next

Girl in the MazeΒ NorthwoodΒ wrong place

Yay for the cozies. I like the look of Booked for Trouble and Ellery Adams is a winner for me. I think I read that one… I like her Books by the Bay books. Maybe I can read another one for the cozy readalong- I have one in progress. πŸ™‚

Sorry to hear about the layoff. That sucks. Hope you have a good week…

I think you would like the Lighthouse Library Mystery series. I wasn’t a huge fan of the first book in the Books by the Bay series but I am liking this one better. πŸ™‚

I will admit that I like A Deadly Cliche much more than I did the first book in this series. πŸ™‚ I have been working on trying to write a cozy book myself. *Says sheepishly*

Woot on the weight loss! My husband walks all day long at his job, but when he’s home and doing stuff on the computer he sets his phone alarm to go off every hour then he gets up and moves around for 5 minutes or so. I need to get into the habit of doing that, too. Sorry to hear about the early lay off. Now go write that book! πŸ˜€

Sorry about the lay off! That stinks but YAY more book writing time! πŸ™‚

Comgrats on the weight loss, I plan to start walking when it stops friggin snowing here. I need to lose a bit of weight before a wedding in October, my track record so far for losing weight sucks LOL

Got lots of books I see! I was a good girl this week!

Have a great week, Stormi! Happy Reading! ox

Yeah, I need to take more walks but I am a wimp so if it’s cold out I don’t want to do it. Hope it quits snowing there so you can walk. πŸ™‚

I tried to be good, but once I get laid off my book buying will slow down. πŸ™ I will hope I can keep my review book grabbing down as well…lol.

I’m in such a cozy mood right now. They’re pretty much all I want to read. I read the first book in the Ellery Adams series and it didn’t click but I really want to retry. That’s too bad about getting laid off earlier but it sounds like you’ve got a good perspective on it. That’s great about your Weight Watcher’s progress. I need to get back to tracking my eating. I do way better when I do that. Have a great week!

I didn’t like the first book in this series much, but I am liking the second book a lot more. πŸ™‚

Oh Stormi, sorry the lay-off is coming sooner than expected. I love your positive attitude, but will you need to find something else pretty quickly? But yes… more reading time, so yay!

And very well done on Weight Watchers – you’re doing a great job and you’re an inspiration.

I’m so sorry to hear you’re being laid off, Stormi. I hope you’ll be able to find another job soon. Meanwhile, good luck with your writing!

Look at you go with the cozies! I’ve read a few of these, will check out a few more. And well done with the weight loss and the movement. I need to do the same. (I REALLY need to do the same…)
