BMR,OHMy (1)The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading? Β If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

So I am sure your tired of hearing about it but I am Β tired of it myself. I just can’t whip this stupid what ever it is…I feel fine but my throat keeps hurting off and on, some times can hardly talk and got that stupid cough. Wish I had money to go to the doctor but no insurance, so trying about everything I can over the counter. It’s just really annoying more than anything. πŸ™

Can you believe it’s almost Christmas! Next week for most the panic sets in all the last minute buying, etc. I still have to figure out what to get my nephew, he is 19 so have no clue…lol. Other than that I think I got all my presents…anyone want to come over and wrap them for me…lol. My least favorite thing to do. I can’t wait for Dec. 26th. πŸ™‚ Yeah, I’m sort of a Scrooge….lol.

Have a Merry Christmas every one! πŸ™‚ I think Scrooge McDuck sums it up nicely on how I feel….lol.

What you might have missed on my blog

I reviewed this week Meet Me in Malmo and Fixed by Fear.

Kathy reviewed this week The Masterharp of Pern, Plum Spooky and Stephanie PlumΒ #14-21.

Books I have added

So I do good one week and boom next one I fail…oh well…I am getting a bit wiser with my selections as Harper Collins put up some more on Edelweiss and I only clicked one and then put 9 on my review books I might want later as they don’t come out till middle of next year…then I will look at them and see if they still fit my reading mood or not. πŸ™‚

Louisiana Saves the LibraryΒ Dearly DepartedΒ burning midnightΒ Secret Destiny of Pixie Piper

Audiobooks for review:

I am now just as bad with audio reviews as other review books. πŸ™‚ The lady gives me a list and I just go crazy and then I never know when I am going to get them and some times it’s like one or two and other times it’s like boom 6. πŸ™‚

Wow, I got a lot of books this week. πŸ™‚

Books read last week

I don’t know what happened but I just didn’t accomplish much reading this week..aah. Bad me and I can’t even blame it on the holidays. πŸ™‚

Currently reading

Ashley BellΒ NutsΒ diabolical Miss Hide

So Ashley Bell is a bit slow right now and just not feeling it, but will keep trying. Β Nuts is for online book club and my TBR pile pick for this month and while it’s funny it’s just not really what I want to be reading right now…lol. Β The Diabolical Miss Hyde is interesting but just not moving’s 13 hour listen and I am a little past half way through.

Not really feeling like a slump but just not feeling like my books are moving…maybe I just didn’t read as much this week.

What might be up next

mystery of hollow placesΒ Death Crashes the PartyΒ wolf trouble

Have you joined Tsu yet? Come on over and friend me there:Β

  1. I hope you’ll feel better, Stormi! Soar throats are such a hassle, especially when it affects your voice.
Ha! I’m actually looking forward to all the coming days now, first of all, I’m off work and Uni already, and I’m so ready for our trip to Norway to spend time with my mom and my sister!
    Merry Scroogemas πŸ˜‰

  2. Feel better! πŸ™

19 year olds do good with gift cards, you can never go wrong with one of those.

OMG I hope you like Portrait of a Dead Guy. The books was great and made me snort laugh a few times. I never got the chance to read the other books in the series by I love Cherry she is a great MC.

Sorry you are still not in the Christmas Spirit, hope those Hallmark Movies helped a little πŸ˜‰

Have a great week, Stormi! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! ox

Yeah, I am probably going with a Gift Card as I really don’t know what he is into besides playing his guitar.

I knew you liked that mystery so I had it on my wishlist on amazon and I check it each day for deals and was happy to see it for .99. πŸ™‚

  3. I am sorry to hear you’re still not feeling well and you can’t go to the doctor. I hope you feel better soon. I am already done with all the christmas shopping luckily and even wrapped everything. I always kinda enjoy wrapping presents. Your secret santa gift looks awesome! I hope you have a great week!

    • Stormi

Yeah, it’s a bummer..the voice thing just drives me crazy. I wish I liked wrapping…I normally save it till the day before then have to rush through I am tempted to put a bow on a Walmart bag and called wrapped…

  4. Sorry to hear your aren’t better yet. It would suck to be sick on Christmas. I’m not a big Christmas person either. I try to do gift exchanges if I can help it. My in-laws still like to, so I have to buy them gifts. Same with my mom. DH and I don’t exchange gifts, though we are getting a new TV this year because ours is dying, so I guess we could call that Merry Christmas to us. I would just prefer to keep my money and my TV, but oh well. Hope you feel better soon.

    • Stormi

I would stay home on Christmas if I could get away with it but my dad won’t let me…ugh. I don’t mind presents I just don’t like this time of year. My mom was all about Christmas and so I miss her. πŸ™

  5. What a great book week! I’m sorry you aren’t feeling better. πŸ™ Rest up, read, and get better.

I’m almost done with Christmas prep; I can’t wait until Christmas is done.I just haven’t had the spirit this year. I hope you enjoy your holiday!

    • Stormi

I am trying to rest but seem to have a bit of insomnia as I wake up in the middle of the night and can’t sleep. πŸ™

  6. Darn that stubborn cough! I hope it leaves and soon!

Every year after the kids have opened their presents and the wrapping paper is all picked up I ask if we can take the tree down. lol We’ll probably take it down the 30th since hubby will be off. Then I can get my exercise equipment back into position for my New Year’s resolution to get moving. I’d give a 19yo a gift card either to a favorite store or restaurant. πŸ™‚ I’m putting that Portrait of a dead Guy on my Amazon list. I know I have an Amazon card from my parents in the box under the tree so I can get it on Christmas Day. πŸ˜€

    Merry Christmas, Stormi! xo

    • Stormi

I don’t even have a tree up and my only decorations is a nutcraker I got for a dollar at the dollar store and a stuffed reindeer…lol.

  7. There is nothing better than the day after Christmas. Haha. I have been sick all week and although I’ve not had to deal with it as long as you’ve had to, I’m really tired of it. Just got a new round of antibiotics today. Seems over the counter meds cost an arm and leg now too. Hope we both have a better week.

    • Stormi

Nuts was okay but really just not my kind of read though it was cute, I rolled my eyes a bit as I felt like I was reading a book about horny teenagers instead of adults.

  8. I hope you feel better! I’m feeling overwhelmed with the holidays (the snuck up so fast) so I’m with you and Scrooge McDuck lol. Teenagers love cash or gift cards (that’s what I’m giving to my nieces and nephews lol). You got a lot of great new books (I’m looking away lol). I hope you feel better and have a nice Christmas!

  9. You probably should bite the bullet and go to urgent treatment-I think they are more reasonable than most doctors. It could really be something that needs checking out. I worry about I hate wrapping presents too-you need some bags and tissue paper and that makes it much easier! I read Ashley Bell and while I did enjoy the read, it was a slower than usual read for a Koontz novel. Stick with it as it gets better. Merry Christmas Stormi!
