What you might have missed on my blog

Well, Cold 2.0 has struck. I swear I have never had this much probably with colds before and now it’s like I just finally got over my other one and boom here it comes round two.  Happy Holidays to me I am sick, but I managed to make it through Thanksgiving though I mostly wanted to sleep. 🙂

I am thankful for my blogger Kathy who puts up two or three reviews a week which helps make my blog run smoothly. 🙂 Thankful for my fellow bloggers and friends! Thankful for my readers! 🙂

Bloggish news: You can sign up for Winter COYER, 2016 New Book Challenge and 2016 Cloak and Dagger Reading Challenge. Hopefully if things go according to plan by next Thursday Tracy from Cornerfolds and I will have the 2016 Horror Challenge ready for sign up. 🙂

Also got a refurbished computer tower as that is what fit in my budget. I am so glad to be out of the Vista and into a Windows 7 upgrade…lol. I am so excited as my other was was on deaths door. The CD Rom quit working and I couldn’t listen to my audios or rip them to my phone..nothing..was going crazy…lol. So Christmas came early at my house..whooo hoo! 🙂

Books I have added

No Netgalley or Edelweiss! I think this was mostly due to being sick and not really doing much surfing around and looking…lol.

Audiobooks for review:

Wrong Place Murder on Gramercy Park

  • Wrong Place is a new British crime series that I can’t wait to start.
  • Murder on Gramercy Park is book three in a historical mystery series. Recently listened to book one and it was interesting. So can’t wait to get started on some more from that series.

Print from Paperback Swap

Thought I would give book two a try since the first one was okay, sometimes with a long series it’s best to give more than one book a try. 🙂

Dark Witch Harry Potter 1

  • Dark Witch – Was on sale for $4.95 so decided to grab it.
  • Harry Potter – So I am not much for re-reading but since Jim Dale is the narrator I couldn’t pass up trying to the audio as he is an awesome story teller. 🙂 Used a credit.

  1. I am sorry to hear you have another cold, that sucks being sick and then just when it’s over catching another cold. I hope you’ll feel better soon! And yay for your new computer! That’s great you got a new one as your old one wasn’t working well anymore. Enjoy your new books and have a great week!

I know, can you believe it not review books…then I turned around and accepted three audiobooks for review today…lol.

  2. Boo hiss for Cold 2.0. Grrr! But yay for computer upgrades. When my computer died back in Feb I got a refurbished tower with Windows 7. It took a bit to get used to since I had been using XP for about 10 yrs. lol

    • Stormi

I know it’s like why me! One cold was enough..gah. This one is a little worse than the first one too. 🙁 My refurbished one replaced my Vista that I had for like 8 years so it is a bit different. 🙂

    • Stormi

It sucks, I sort of feel like I got a flu shot for nothing cause I keep catching these stupid least it hasn’t turned into something worse.

  3. I hope you feel better, being sick is really no fun. You need rest or you will be Sick v3.0

You have a lot of challenges going on, good for you!!! I am looking forward to the horror one again. I didn’t do that great this year but want to read a few more next year if I can.

Have a great week, Stormi! Happy Reading! ox

    • Stormi

Yeah, I am trying to rest. Was hoping it would have gone mostly away by today so that I am not sick at work…kind of hard to talk on the phone all day with a sore throat and raspy voice. 🙁

  4. Congrats on the computer upgrade. I wanted to get a lot more read while I was on vacation, and while I did read some, TV took over and we caught up on some DVR’ed shows and some Netflix movies. Hope next week is better for you and that you have no more illness coming your way!

    • Stormi

Yeah, I was hoping to read more but was so sick for most of it that reading didn’t appeal..though I didn’t do to bad. 🙂 I need to catch up on my shows!!

  5. Yay for early Christmas! 🙂 Upgrades are good…

Good challenges, I need to get my Cloak and Dagger post going. 🙂

    Feel better!

  6. A friend of mine LOVES Ian Rankin and is raving about his latest. I’ve never gotten into them but probably haven’t read them in order so never really ‘engaged’ if that makes sense.

Another big blogging week from you Stormi, I don’t know how you do it!

  7. Loads of new books for you this week. Wrong Place looks so good. I hope you feel better soon. Did you get a flu shot? (sorry, the nurse in me slips out sometimes)
