BMR,OHMy (1)The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading?  If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

Okay so nothing real exciting has happened this week at all. It was pretty boring…lol.

Blog news: Barb from Booker T’s Farm and I are hosting the Cloak and Dagger Challenge for any one who loves crime novels it will contain anything in the mystery/suspense/thriller/crime genre. We are waiting on our graphic but will be posting a sign up soon! Hope some of you will join in with us so we don’t feel lonely…lol.

I am also cohosting with Lexxie from Unconventional Book View the 2016 New Release Challenge again. We got started a bit late with it last year and it was our first year so hopefully we do better this year and we had 22 people sign up last time so I hope we get that many this time if not more! The sign up for this one just went live today!

And last but not least it’s getting close to Winter COYER time! I cohost this with two lovely ladies Berls from Fantasy is More Fun and Michelle from Because Reading! Sign up for this event is on the 21st! 🙂

What you might have missed on my blog

Books I have added

*hangs head in shame* I don’t know what happened with this week but OH MY, between the tempting emails about how this one  is from the same author tempting me and just seeing books in a series that I have already read tempting me I failed really big time with the whole try not to get books from netgalley or edelweiss…sighs. Seems like the more I say I am not going to the more books I end up with. Book addiction. 🙂 The bright side most of them don’t have to be reviewed until next year. 🙂

Quiet Neighbors Betrayal doll's house Sutherland's Secrets Northwood The Art of Taming a Rake Jack the Ripper Harrow County

See what I mean…oh boy…though most of them are series I am reading and two are graphics so those are quick reads…lol This is why I am going to sign up for the Blogger Shame Challenge that Anna at Herding Cats and Burning Soup is hosting…lol. 🙂

Yeah, I was a bit proud of myself…though one was a 32 page graphic novel…lol. I really enjoyed the first one in this series even though it’s contemporary romance and I don’t read a lot of those, but put it in Scotland and I am there…lol. 🙂 Especially on audio she does the accent. 🙂

    • Stormi

I did good, but one was a short graphic…lol. It is so hard to resist the shinies!!! 🙂

Cloak and Dagger sounds like a challenge I might do, I thought about that one last year. Should have too, since I read a fair amount of mysteries LOL.

I was curious about Powerless, hope that was good. I’ll kee an eye out for your review.

    Have a nice week.

I do hope you will join us cause you did read some great mystery I seen them on your blog. 🙂 Powerless was okay but not exactly what I was expecting. I sort of expected more survival and less political stuff.

    • Stormi

You guessed right! 🙂 I hope it’s good too it sounds so interesting. I am getting a lot of books for next year already…I so have to cut back so I hope I can. You did great with the empty haul. 🙂

I hope you will join our Cloak and Dagger challenge then, I am in such a mystery mood of late. 🙂

    • Stormi

I do hope you will join, it’s one I am sure I can finish as I have already acquired a lot of books for 2016 already…goodness!

    • Stormi

EW has cool graphic novels…Dark Horse publishing so far has been my favorite to get them from. 🙂

  2. Kathy

Wow that is a lot of great books you got this week. I’m looking away so I’m not tempted lol. I’ll be joining the New Release Challenge again. I went past my goal so I’ll increase it for next year. Have a great week!

Yes, look away or it will suck you in. That is my problem I don’t look away enough…lol. Glad to hear you will be joining the New Release Challenge. I had to up my goal for next year too as I read way more than I

Oh I like the idea of a New Release reading challenge. Mostly I read new releases so that would be okay. I’ll have to check out the requirements!!!

I actually missed Arlidge’s The Doll House (though have read the rest) so am keen to see what you think of it!

    • Stormi

Yeah, a new release challenge is pretty easy to accomplish for those who read a lot of them. 🙂

    • Stormi

Well, three of them come from Kathy who post on my blog but most of the other stuff is I do a lot of blogging ahead. 🙂

  4. A Voracious Reader

I really shouldn’t have, but I went to NetGalley and requested Quiet Neighbors. lol Did those graphic novels come from NetGalley also? I can’t get ADE to open books with ACSM so I’m giving up on them. It’s very frustrating. Grrrr!

Quiet Neighbors just looks so good so I hope it is! 🙂 The Graphics I got were from Edelweiss and I didn’t have any problems opening them. They are from Dark Horse Publishing. I did have problems when I tried opening The Green River Killer and the publishers were really cool about sending me a download to my email. 🙂

    • Stormi

Yes I did…lol. I get ones from the publisher though too saying…you liked this one..well the author has a new one coming out on netgalley now…it’s hard to resist…lol.

  5. Charlie @ Girl of 1000 Wonders

It’s COYER time already? Holy smacks! I like reading my crime novels in October. I don’t know why, so I’m sorry I’m not joining you guys. I have moved on to Christmas reads and other random books I have for reviews.

  6. Lorna

You must read really fast! I am not familiar with any of your books although I think I have seen something about Pop Goes the Weasel. Enjoy your books and your week!
