Owl Crate!

IMG_20151023_203825

So I decided to try an Owl Crate for the first time. It’s pretty cool I got Hard copy of A Madness So Discreet (which I read the eARC and liked), some scented beads (which is awesome as I love making jewelry), some sugar skull erasers, an Edgar Allen Poe pouch and those cute little magnet bookmarks (the witch and skeleton).  🙂 Trying to decide if it is worth getting Novembers which is Myth and Legends or not. They are kind of expensive at $36 (including taxes) but it was fun opening and finding out what was inside. 🙂

Books read last week

Never Smile at Strangers The Lost Girl vengeance as dead as it gets

Currently reading

Before the storm Mercury Retrograde The Gourmet Detective
  • Before the Storm – tour coming up this week so must read this one!
  • Mercury Retrograde – tour coming up this week so must read this one!

What might be up next

ten monsterland No Other Darkness
  • Ten – I keep trying to read this one, but other books getting in the way…lol. This week it’s tour books but maybe I can get to it!!
  • Monsterland -can’t wait to try this one it just looks so fun!
  • No Other Darkness – Book two in the DI Marnie detective books. 🙂

Nice haul! I just got my OwlCrate today but didn’t get to officially haul/take pics yet. I’m pretty sure next month’s book is going to be Soundless. It’s a “highly anticipated fantasy”. That’s my guess. I don’t own it yet, so I’m in. Enjoy your new books!

I liked it but not sure if I have the money to deal out each month not knowing what I will be getting and if I will like it…lol.

Yes, very busy and the bad thing is I am not getting ahead! I am very getting my post in a few days in advance..ugh. I was so ahead and then boom I got behind..bummer.

I have tried vicks vapor rub but nothing is working. 🙁 Lots of gunk in there and it’s been coming up so I am hoping it gets better soon.

I have to try and fit Ten in this week as it is my TBR pile read but I cut myself a bit short and had more going on this week then I realized with THREE tours!!! I have only got one read and working on the second one..so a bit pressed for reading time…lol.

    • Stormi

Yeah, sickness is never fun. It doesn’t help when my work is talking on the phone. 🙁

    • Stormi

Yes, the author was very nice and emailed me about sending a paperback copy signed so well I had to go that route instead of ebook…lol. 🙂

I hate the never ending cough! Nothing seems to help it and it takes forever to go away. Hopefully yours is leaving soon. Yay for the Paranormal Museum book! I’m looking forward to that one. I have a Tonya Kappes book as well that I’m looking forward to reading. The series looks like lots of fun. Have a great week and stay healthy!

I blame getting Paranormal Museum all on you…lol. I had seen it on Netgalley but passed on it but then seen it on your blog and well I caved…lol. 🙂

    • Stormi

Yes, it is. I am not sure I will get the next one, maybe I will check out a different subscription box that is cheaper and see what I think of it…lol. 🙂

    • Stormi

They are popular but not good for my bank account….lol. Not sure it is worth the money.

  3. A Voracious Reader

Ooooohhhh…Green River Killer is by Dark Horse, it’s a graphic novel and it’s true crime. I’ll have to see if my library has it. If not maybe I can suggest it and they’ll buy it. 😀 Have a wonderful week and I’ll send {{{posivibes}}} for that cough to vacate your person. 🙂

I hope you feel better soon. Those cough that don’t go away can be so annoying. yay you also got The Perfectly Proper Paranormal Museum, I am looking forward to reading it. It sounds like a good one. Those subscription boxes sound like fun, it’s like getting a pressent and not knowing what’s inside, although they do seem pricey. I hope you’ll have a great week!

Yet another busy week for you! I don’t know how you get time… but love that you get so much done!

And I love the idea of Owl Crate – how fabulous… I love the idea of a little surprise gift, but (as you said) it’s not cheap.

And I agree that ‘Ten’ looks great. I hope you get to it this week!
