The Week In Review #57

October 11, 2015 Memes 25

BMR,OHMy (1)The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading? ย If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

Not much going on here worthy of talking about…lol. Work has been busy but I think it’s more cause Scholastic has a crappy online website and you would think by now the techs could figure out what is wrong. So most of the teachers are having problems placing online order for reading clubs and then I get to hear all about it. Um not my fault I didn’t make the online website, don’t yell at me. ๐Ÿ™ Sighs.

Been feeling a bit crafty and been watching how to make wreaths as that looks really fun, so been all over youtube…lol.

That is about it. ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh that sounds frustrating lots of customers call because of issues with the website and you can’t do anything about that. You would think they would change their site if so many people have problems with it. Death & the Brewmaster’s Widow looks interesting, I might have to request that one too, I’ve been in a cozy mystery mood lately and I’ve been requesting most of the first book in the series cozy mysteries on netgalley and even bought one. Enjoy your new books and have a great week!

Yeah, it’s really aggravating and I feel sorry for the teachers that want to order online cause it’s frustrating. Death & Brewmaster’s Widow does look good, it’s second in a series though so I might need to grab book one.

I am in a total mystery mood, cozy or detective…lol.

I think a lot of us had a quiet week. Which is nice. Right? lol Sounds like Scholastic needs a new Webmaster or something. Ooooh! Bunnicula! Perfect for Halloween. ๐Ÿ™‚ And Charming. I have that on audio. I really need to get back to exercising so I can listen to my audiobooks.

Yeah, it’s been nice…I am totally thinking the same thing. I am like get a new server or host or something but fix it! ๐Ÿ™‚ Bunnicula was so much fun and a fond memory of my childhood as I remember reading it as a kid. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Stormi

No it’s not, I hope it gets better too or it’s going to be a long season at Scholastics..ugh. I hope I like it too, so many mixed reviews so fingers crossed. ๐Ÿ™‚

I hate taking complaints and I often have to when they insist on talking to a manager. But I have a cheat sheet next to my phone for soothing phrases to help calm them down. And it works lol.

I hope you don’t have to deal with too many complaints this week and enjoy your new books. Have a good week Stormi!

Complaints are the worse and they can be so rude. Maybe we need a list of those soothing words…lol. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Stormi

Oh well, at least my little rant reminded you to put in your order. ๐Ÿ™‚ I am hoping I like Ten. Do you think I need to grab book one before reading Death and Brewmaster’s Widow? I am really OCD about it and probably will anyway but just in case I don’t get a chance…and just go with it. ๐Ÿ™‚

You’re so good with your site Stormi and the amount you post. As you know, I’m very hit and miss.

And how annoying you’re dealing with the fallout of a crappy website in a work sense.

Also… do you read several books at once? I realise you often list several and I’ve never asked? It’s something I can’t do, so I’m intrigued when others can have several on the go!

Thanks, but I do have another blogger Kathy who post some reviews but this month I am really trying to do a lot cause of my Monsters, Madmen, Mayhem. Oh my! ๐Ÿ™‚

I do read more than one book at a time. Right now I have an ebook, paperback and audiobook. The ebook is easier to take on the go, I read the paperback at home and listen to the audio on the way to and from work and also at my computer when I am blogging. ๐Ÿ™‚ I always make sure they are all different so I never get the genre plots mixed up….lol. ๐Ÿ™‚ Some times one will peak my interest the most and I might just sideline the others to finish it. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Stormi

Well, I am not in CS exactly as I take orders for the reading club, but I often get the calls that I have to transfer and I get a good ear full before sending them to CS to get things straightened out…ugh.

Sorry to hear about your week. That kinda sux.
But, 9 reviews! Holy crap that is a lot. Loads of new reads for you too. I hope you enjoy all your new reads. I am torn between requesting Ashley Bell and opening the NetGalley can of worms or avoiding the site altogether in an attempt to catch up. The struggle is real!

A few of those was from the other blogger who post on my blog. ๐Ÿ™‚ But yeah, been trying to post a bunch and had some saved up…lol.

    • Stormi

Yeah, I am in such a suspense/thriller/horror mood of late so I couldn’t help it but I really need to start resisting Netgalley…lol.

    • Stormi

Yeah, I am getting use to it but some days I have a hard time with it…lol. Youtube is great for crafty awesomeness. ๐Ÿ™‚
