The Week In Review #55

September 26, 2015 Memes 30

BMR,OHMy (1)The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading? Β If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

Oh my, so this week I raided the bookstore at work and I got to be careful…lol. It’s a good thing I am not a parent cause they have a lot more children’s books then YA books, but I still raid the middle grade too…lol.

So besides getting paid this week and going a bit book crazy not much else has happened. πŸ™‚ I am going to need to get a savings account to hide some monies or I will never save anything up….lol.

Coming in October on my blog I am doing the second annual Monsters, Madmen, Mayhem. Oh my! The month will be chalked full of cool reviews from kid friendly spooky reads to adult horror, plus some top ten list and some guest post. There will be giveaways! πŸ™‚ Hope you all stop by and say hi!

Looks like a fun bookstore raid! I really want to try Ally Carter. Her books look like a lot of fun. The Ellery Adams looks like a fun listen and it always mystifies me a bit how different the covers for the Lynn Cahoon audios are from the books. One would think they’d be the same. Have a great week!

It was, and there are more things I want, but I am waiting to raid their Halloween books…lol. They should be getting them in this coming week. πŸ™‚ I know the covers for a lot of audios are different, I don’t know why.

I plan on re-reading A Heart Shaped Box soon and I don’t re-read a lot. I have thought about checking out Rump if I find it at the library. Great haul and can’t wait to see some reviews. I just had to add The Haunting of Gillespie House. Bad influence you ! πŸ™‚

Oh I am glad to hear that Heart-Shaped Box is good enough for a re-read! πŸ™‚ I hope you enjoy The Haunting of Gillespie House…you are welcome…lol πŸ˜‰

Looking forward to your October event! Hard to believe it’s that time of year again already. Great haul- I have The LAst Word too (somewhere) and I like the Adams books I’ve read.

I know where did the year go! So far I have liked the Adam books I have read to so I can’t wait to start this other series.

    • Stormi

Yeah, I seen some others I want to grab but was trying to wait for the October haul to see if they get any good spooky ones in…lol. It is fun to see what everyone is doing for October! πŸ™‚ I think next year I need to start planning like three months ahead! lol

    • Stormi

I do hope it’s good and scary! Can’t wait to get into it, I only just started. He just bought the ghost…lol.

Ally Carter came to my school this past spring. I wish I had been able to have a sub so I could go see her speak to a group of students I recommended attend the event, and to buy All Fall Down. Several of my students bought it and were so excited about it.

    Enjoy all your reads!

    • Stormi

Oh that would have been so cool! To bad you couldn’t go see her speak. I haven’t read any of her books but I have two of them now…lol. I guess I need to try one instead of just putting them on my shelf. πŸ™‚

    • Stormi

Yep, it’s hard not to buy especially when they are brand new books for such cheap prices for the employees that work in the call center! πŸ™‚ Scary reviews coming in October. πŸ™‚
