The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading?  If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

We got some rain! The nice kind and not like that stuff everyone else has been getting! No flooding. We are to get more today so hopefully it’s not going to be the flooding kind.

So dad’s phone wouldn’t work and so I got a new phone so I could pass down my phone because he really just uses it for facebook messenger and calling my brother…lol. I was like I can do this, I can figure out how to activate it without having to go to Boost Mobile as we don’t have one in town and would have to go two towns over…OMG! I spent half my day I swear trying to get things right using the chat on their website. I don’t think the first person knew what they were doing, the second person was better but accidently put my dads number on mine, so it had all my info and his number…lol. The third person was great though and seem to know what they were doing thank goodness because they even was able to transfer dads number to my old phone. I feel like I missed half of Saturday because of this ugh. It’s done though but next time I am taking it to the Boost people even if I feel it’s a waste of gas!

I watched a lot of things this week. I only have two episodes left of season four of Virgin River (they have messed that up so much it really is it’s own entity with just the names of the characters from the books) it’s a trainwreck that me and Barb keep watching…lol.  I also finished up the last two very long episodes of Stranger Things, I was kind of hoping that was the end and it was wrapping up nicely until the very last and then I found out there is one more season. I mean how many times can they get rid of the same thing in different forms.

My week was kind of quiet except for the phone hassle…lol. Have a great week and happy reading!

What you might have missed on my blog

Books I have added

  • How to Woo a Wallflower – I just wanted a historical. 🙂

Books read last week

  • In a Rogue’s Arms – This was a fun one that was kind of a Robin Hood retelling.
  • How to Ride a Dragon’s Storm – Such a fun series! This is book 7.
  • Tyrannosaurus Wrecks – I really like this series! Only one more to catch up on the series well till the new one comes out. 🙂
  • A Perilous Pal – Though not a fan of reluctant sleuths, I still really enjoyed this one and OMG the ending!

Currently reading

  • Outlander – Enjoying this one more than I thought I would! I am probably around half way through it. 🙂
  • One Wish – This is an okay historical western romance.
  • Death, Diamonds, and Deceptions – I am enjoying this one. It’s the 5th book in the Gilded Age Mystery series.

What might be up next

Not sure but lots of eARCs for ARC August. 🙂

  1. Someday I hope to get around to watching Virgin River. I think I watched the first two episodes and never finished, but I will. Outlander is a book I’ve been wanting to read but I must admit the size of it scared me away. I’m not good with very long books. LOL Have a great week!

    • It’s a full blown drama trainwreck, but at the same time interesting…lol.

I am listening to Outlander and the narrator is great so if you don’t mind audiobooks I would suggest it. 🙂

  2. We got the nice rain here too, but the other side of my state got the flooding! I love the Outlander tv series and the first book was good, but I’m struggling to get through the second one. Maybe because the second season, after the part in France wasn’t my favorite? I don’t know, but I need to finish it and move on. Hope you have a good week!

    • Oh no, that sucks about the other half of your state getting the flooding but glad you didn’t! I watched a couple seasons of Outlander and so it’s really easy to follow along with the book. It’s like a more detailed version of season one…lol. I am participating in a readalong of the series where we do two months for each book with taking a month off in between so it will be a while before we get the series read but hopefully this way I don’t get tired of it. 🙂

  3. I had a similar (yet different) experience with phones this week. They truly make it all a hassle! I’m glad you got it worked out though! And you haven’t read Outlander before? Why am I shocked? I’m glad you’re enjoying. I think I’ve read the first 4 or 5 and I keep planning to read more but OMG they are LONG (and don’t need to be IMO) so it’s a battle to get started.

Have a great (flood free) week!

    • Ugh, sorry you had phone troubles cause it’s a mess!
I know you would have thought I had read Outlander…lol. I have watched a few seasons of the show so I might have mentioned that at one time. If you haven’t do the audiobooks the narrator is amazing! 🙂

  4. I hate technology. I mean, not really, but I just want it to work lol. I don’t want to spend time messing with phones haha. And I feel EXACTLY the same way about stranger things. Enough already.

  5. I’m sorry you had such a hassle with the phones. Technology is awesome when it works great, but it’s so hard to deal with when it doesn’t.

Lol about Stranger Things. I really enjoyed season 4, but I understand why some people are sick of it and want it to end. I’m glad we finally found out the culprit of all the weird goings on in the Upside Down. I think season 5 will be fun and it’ll be a good ending for the show. At least, I hope so. LOL.

    My Sunday Post

    • I think what I hated the most about Stranger Things season 4 was everyone being split up and the whole Russian thing. I was so glad when that actually started to make sense!!! I am curious how they will end it but at the same time I am really ready to end it. 🙂

  6. I’m going to have to look into A Perilous Pal. It looks great.
Glad to hear you had some rain. And that it was the good kind.

    Have a wonderful week ahead!
