The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading?  If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

I can’t believe it’s already November!! Where has the time gone?

Not much happened this week to talk about. The weather has been up and down. I am so glad this week it will be in the 60s!

Oh and I hate falling back! I hate that it will get dark early. I know a lot of people hate springing forward but I love it. Longer night! I would be fine with springing forward and leaving it that way, I don’t get why anyone wants to spring forward and leave it and have shorter outside time at night. 🙁 I would have to tend my garden by flashlight. 🙁

Have a great week and happy reading!

What you might have missed on my blog

Books I have added

Nothing 🙂 Two weeks in a row! What! Who am I? LOL.

Books read last week

  • Crota – Finished this one on Halloween and it was a fitting way to end the month…lol. I really liked it!
  • Zeb Bolt and the Ember Scroll – I really liked this one! This finished up a trilogy and I think it was my favorite one of the three.
  • Lemon Drop Dead – The latest book in the Amish Candy Shop series and I enjoyed it. Glad to be caught up on a series.
  • A Stitch in Crime – The 4th book in the Crochet mystery series and it was okay but I think it’s been to long since I listened to the first three that I just didn’t connect well, that and it was the same narrator as her Yarn Retreat series that I just recently caught up on and it was hard to think about the characters from that series. I think they should do different narrators for cozies with the same theme like yarn…lol.
  • The Thursday Murder Club – I liked this one, it had senior slueths! I thought it felt like an episode of Midsommer Murders, as there was two cops, but with senior slueths helping solve the crime…lol.

Currently reading

  • Good Neighbors – Only 5% in but I am curious. No clue really want its about but I think it has something to do with a murder at least for the newspaper clippings that were at the beginning.
  • The Mary Shelley Club – 5% into this one and so far
  • The Family Plot – I am listening to this one at 1.75x speed and I am curious. It’s about a strange family. The mother named her kids after murder victims and made them study the murders and murderers and Andy (named after Lizzy Bordon’s father) “runs off” or so they thought but now it’s been like ten years and their father has died and they all come back to find out there is a body buried in the family plot and it is Andy, so what really happened. 28% in and it’s okay so far.

What might be up next

  1. I’m with you on the time change. And it’s in the 60’s here today. Pretty nice after a week or so of cold temps. Tomorrow it’ll probably be 20 lol.

  2. I’m just not a fan of changing the time, either direction. It’s too confusing and messes with my sleep. And even more so with a baby/toddler.

I hope you have a great week!

  3. I’m good with the falling back but hate springing forward. For some reason I don’t mind it getting dark earlier but I know it drives most people crazy. I rally want to read Thursday Murder Club. It sounds really good. Have a great week!
