The Week In Review #33

April 11, 2015 Memes 25

BMR,OHMy (1)The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading?  If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

Not much happened this week. Worked on cleaning the house and working outside in the yard when not raining. Braved some new storms but we were lucky and not much happened here compared to those in Illinois, but more storms coming this week so blah.

What you might have missed on my blog

Books I have added

Fixed in Blood I am the traitor The Geeky Chef Cookbook This Monstrous Thing Ash and Bramble Dreamland_EpicReads

So I went a little crazy this week but the first two are next in series books to series I have been reading so had to get them. 🙂 Then who can pass up a Geeky Chef Cookbook that has recipes based on books, TV, Movies and Video Games!!! 🙂 Then Harper Collins put there books out on Edelweiss so the last three books I really wanted on my WoW post were there…and couldn’t help myself. 🙂

Kindle bought

The Diabolical Miss Hyde

This has been on my wishlist and while checking my list today to see if anything I wanted was on sale I notice this one was only $1.99 so I jumped on it. 🙂

Nice haul, it was a pretty good week for books. I’m still waiting for warm weather. I don’t think Spring is ever coming. I need to read Cemetery Boys soon. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Sorry to hear it’s still cold where you are, I would so hate that. I hope spring hits you this week! 🙂

  2. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Oh nice! I am sooooo excited for Ash & Bramble, but naturally my request is being ignored by EW. So hard to get those publishers’ attention, yet I get it on NG. It’s so weird! This Monstrous Thing is another I am deeply curious about!!

So many great books you have here! Some new to me too! Hope you enjoy them all!

    Here’s my STS

    Have a GREAT day!

I guess I am one of the lucky ones that is auto approved..though it can be a curse some times as it’s hard for me not to just click, click, you can see. 🙂

I only recently started using NetGalley, and I’m afraid to move into Edelweiss territory…already I am overwhelmed by the books I’ve received…struggling to keep things under control…ha!

Enjoy your new books and your week. Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

    • Stormi

Well, it’s a lot harder to get accepted for books on EW, so I would stick with NG for now. Once your accepted to NG it really is hard not to go hog wild! 🙂 It’s a struggle for us all!

I am curious about Walk on Earth a Stranger but in the end I thought three was enough. 🙂

I see a couple of books I’m going to check out. I did grab a couple from Netgalley and Edelweiss but resisted Monstrous Things. I had family in the last two weeks and we had a ball but I wasn’t around my computer much. Probably a good thing as I have a pile of new books.

    • Stormi

I have more books that I can read but still can’t seem to resist the urge to click! 🙂

    • Stormi

Oh that is good to know, Diabolical Miss Hyde looked so good so I couldn’t help but grab it. 🙂

  5. Michelle@Because Reading

Look at the stack of book! Good thing I had nothing to do with it 😉

I can’t wait to see your review of R.L. Stine, I just got the book and I remember Fear Street books were not great stories but interesting.

Slow weeks are good, hoping to set up my garden this weekend. Really think it’s time to get those veggies growing if the weather would just let me do it.

    Have a great week Stormi!

    • Stormi

I think R. L. Stine books are fun but not great. I am sure to a child they might be scary, but to an adult they are just fun short reads. 🙂

We need to start our garden but I swear it’s like every year we plan to do one something finally got tires on the tractor but now we can’t keep it running. 🙁 Hopefully we can figure out what is wrong soon so we can plow.

    • Stormi

I am auto approved for HC but I don’t know if that is a good They are my fav. publisher so I have a hard time resisting some times. 🙂

Dreamland has me curious. I haven’t been on Edelweiss in To many books too little time. Our daughter and husband along w/my granddaughter moved in and we are trying to merge two households..eek lots of cleaning here as well. They are saving for a home. Hope the storms this week are mild.

    • Stormi

Yeah, Dreamland had me curious to so I grabbed it..hope it was a good Sounds like your going to be having some fun merging are going to have that grandbaby spoiled rotten. 🙂

  7. Berls

You and Michelle are such bad influences! I went on Netgalley and Edelweiss this weekend and requested a bunch! I’ve been approved for 2 so far…

I’m glad the bad storms have missed you, hopefully that keeps up. Better yet, no more bad storms!
