The Week In Review: #33 – Alerrrrgies

April 18, 2015 Memes 35

BMR,OHMy (1)The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading? Β If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

So this week I have suffered from an allergy/sinus cold thing and most of the time I was asleep instead of reading. It really sucked because I really hate not reading and know I don’t feel well when I can’t concentrate on reading nor have a desire to read. πŸ™ By Friday was starting to feel better and went to Walmart and got caught out in a down pour! I was like great this is going to be so good for my sniffles. As of right now I still have a clogged up nose, but feel much better. At least I don’t feel like I can’t do anything but sleep..lol. I love spring and normally don’t have spring allergies as mine usually act up in the fall but if this is any indication of how the allergy season is going to go, I am not sure I am going to like it at all. Blah.

What you might have missed on my blog

Books I have added

Netgalley:

No Place To Hide

Tried to be better this week and got accepted to review this one by Revell for their tour.

From the IRead Book Tours:

Aoleon

So I got part 1-5 of Aoleon: The Martian Girl to review and even though they all have different covers I opted to just put the cover for part one on here. πŸ™‚ This looks like a super cute kids series.Β Each section gets it’s own review so you will be seeing these all pop up next month about one a week.

Audiobook to review:

Polar Bared

I am so loving this series and can’t wait to get to this one!!!!

Kindle grabs:

Night SeriesΒ Famous in a Small TownΒ To Hot to HandleΒ A Charming Crime Dark ReckoningΒ DevicesΒ Boundary CrossedΒ spark Lost LibraryΒ FireOnTheIsland.inddΒ Shock MeΒ Reluctant Guardian An A to Z creepy hollow faeΒ Flicker

All of these books but Boundary Crossed, which was $1.99 ($4.99 without kindle first) with kindle first, was free at time of grab. πŸ™‚

I kind of went a bit freebie happy this week…lol.

Books read last week

The Cemetery BoysΒ Ferals

Currently reading

unforgivablefixΒ The replacedΒ Ivory Ghostmurdermysterysuite

I couldn’t decide what to read cause of my allergy mess and kept going back and forth through these books and never could settle on any of them..so hopefully I will make up for it this week. πŸ™‚

I can sympathize. My allergies are horrible this time of year too. Hope you start feeling better!
I’ve been wanting to read Vivian Divine Is Dead – it looks good! Hope you enjoy it.

I’m glad your allergies are bothering you less now, Stormi. I’ve had a tough week with allergies, too, as has my youngest daughter. We were able to find some pretty good homeopathic medicine today, and we’re both feeling much better now.
You got a lot of great-looking books this week! I hope you’ll enjoy them – and have the force to read them all very soon πŸ™‚
    Have a wonderful weekend.

I think allergies are going to be horrible this year. πŸ™ Hope your feeling better as well!

      I went a little one-click happy this week..lol. πŸ™‚

I am glad to hear you’re feeling a bit better, those allergies/ sinus infection sounds really bad. I hate it when you feel so sick you can’t even read, that’s the worst. Nice haul this week! And yay for grabbing True Calling when it was free, I hope you’ll enjoy it!

    • Stormi

It really sucks cause I want to make a garden this year and be outside more so getting sideline by allergies what not what I expected. πŸ™

True Calling is not my usual genre but since it was free I thought I could at least give it a try. πŸ™‚

    • Stormi

Thanks, I have gotten to where I browse the freebies on kindle now and then, you can find some good ones on sale for free some times. πŸ™‚

There are lots of people who suffer from allergies around me, readers of the library, workmates, they keep sneezing and crying and feeling off. I hope you’re feeling better somehow. Have fun with Eve Langlais, The lost library looks good πŸ™‚

    • Stormi

It’s kicking my butt this year I don’t normally get spring allergies..so it sucks! I am feeling a bit better though but still got a stuffy head. πŸ™‚

I am loving Eve Langlais! πŸ™‚

We are so alike about books. You too are all over the place with genres. And so happy you are reading the Aoleon series! My review of book four goes up Monday and next I review the last book in May. Are they not fun and the pictures are amazing! Happy reading. I feel for you about the allergies. I’m suffering too and wait until you read my post. I gripe about all of the rain. LOL

    • Stormi

I know, I am always picking up freebies from your book haul! We do like a lot of the same genres and are a bit all over. I seen Aoleon on your blog which is why I knew when I was asked to review it I would probably like it..haven’t got into it much but I did sneak a peak at the first part and the pictures are amazing! πŸ™‚

Oh we are getting a ton of rain here as well!

I also use to have fall allergies but as I got older (damnit) I started getting spring allergies also. The blooms aren’t fully out yet but it’s only a matter of time and I will be just like you all sneezy, stuffy and sleepy. (I think those are dwarves)

So no book ban I see πŸ˜‰ Enjoy them all, I saw Spark and thought the cover was gorgeous but never got a chance to grab it.

Have a great week, Stormi! Happy Reading (if you aren’t sleeping)

This must be what is happening to me cause this is the first year I have suffered from spring allergies..A book ban are you kidding me..lol. You know me I can’t help myself…heck I already grabbed up some freebies to start out my week..lol..I will never have a cleaned off ereader as I can’t seem to help myself..it’s a weakness..an addiction…IT’S BOOKS! πŸ™‚

    • Stormi

I might need to get a humidifier if that helps. πŸ™‚ I know I went a little freebie crazy. πŸ™‚ Thanks for stopping by!

Alergies are the worst. I’ve had weird ones this year so they haven’t been ‘crippling,’ for lack of a better word. But I’ve had bad back/neck pain that’s made it difficult to read, so I feel your pain. Best of luck with them!

Oh I hate back/neck pain that does hinder reading. πŸ™ Hope your feeling better. πŸ™‚

    • Stormi

I do feel better but my nose is still clogged..it’s like if I could chop it off I might be great…lol. πŸ™‚ Have a great week!

Allergies are crazy this time of year, but it has been raining non-stop here so I feel like the rain might wash away some of the pollen? I hope, lmao! I am just now getting into audiobooks and polar Bared sounds like it will be sexy but hilarious! Enjoy your new books!

Dang! How can you read four books at the same time?! I can barley read a book and listen an auidobook at the same time!
