The Week In Review # 289

March 1, 2020 Memes 14

The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading?  If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

Not much happened this week at least that I can think of off hand. The weather has been pretty nice and I hope it continues though I know we have some rain in the forecast.

Still rearranging my books to my new bookcase and deciding what goes in my old bookcase. I have decided trade paperbacks in the old one.

Still working on my rewatch of Scarecrow and Mrs. King, I am on season 3 of 4 so almost done. Watched another episode of Picard but that is about it.

Have a great week and happy reading!

What you might have missed on my blog

Books I have added

Netgalley

  • Murder in the Bayou Boneyard – This is always one book series I can’t pass up when I see the next one! Love this series and I think this is the best cover for this series yet! Gopher looks so cute!

Books read last week

  • Christine – I must stay I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed this one! Evil car for the win!
  • A Murderous Relation – Though it was off to a rough start and I expected some things that eventually happened but not soon enough so I grumbled…lol..it was still really good and can’t wait for the next one! Why is there only one a year…lol.
  • Murder in the First Edition – I enjoyed this one and I believe it catches me up on another cozy series!

Currently reading

  • The Dark Corners of the Night – I have really enjoyed the first two in this series so I’m excited to be getting to the new one. Participating in March Mystery Madness on booktube so you will see lots of mystery types in my tbr. Not anything new right…lol.
  • The Book of Boy – I am participating in Middle Grade March on booktube and this is their group read and since I found it on overdrive thought I would try it. Getting a tiny jump ahead starting this yesterday so only 10% in.
  • The Wishing Spell – Listening to this one but just started so hope it’s a good one! 🙂

What might be up next

  1. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Yeah our weather has been borderline kooky too. Cold, then it warms up. Then it’s going to rain. I suspect by maybe late April we’ll be nearing sweltering temperatures that I am just not ready for at all! Lol.

Ooh nice new read! That’s a new to me one! I hope you enjoy it!

    Here’s my StS

    Have a GREAT day!

Yeah, mine have been stacked around taking up my bedroom space so it will be nice to get them all off the floor.

Organizing books is so fun! I’m a bit jealous 😛.

I hope the weather keeps looking up! What is Picard? As in Jean Luc Picard of Next Generation? I keep hearing about it, but no details and I’m curious.

    Have a great week!

    • Stormi

Yes, you are correct Jean Luc Picard. It’s a new show on CBS All Access about Picard after he had retired from Starfleet. I have never been a diehard Star Trek fan but I always like Jean Luc and so far I am enjoying it.

I think it might have just came out on Netgalley and I wouldn’t have known if it wasn’t for Barb giving me the heads up! I am trying to stay off of NG as much as possible so I don’t just click things…lol.

  3. Kristilyn (Dreaming of Hygge)

I have so many Stephen King books on my shelf to read and Christine is one of them. I keep PVRing the movie when it’s on TV and then deleting it as months go by and I still haven’t read the book. One of these days!

Hope you have a great week!

  4. Greg

Ooh it was in the 50’s here today, which for Michigan at this time of year… isn’t bad lol. Hope your weather is good this week. I need to start the Raybourn series one of these days.

    I haven’t seen Picard yet.

Land of Stories! I think I read the first one…
