The Week In Review #28

March 8, 2015 Memes 31

BMR,OHMy (1)The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading? Β If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

I am so sick and tired of cold weather, of snow and ice. I don’t see how any of you up north deal with it..ugh. I would have to fly south for the winter if I lived up north. πŸ™‚ It’s bad enough here in Missouri. So it’s nice to see the sun finally out and the snow melted, but now we have mud problems and are about to get I live out in the country down a dirt lane, so yeah..not fun. Other than that I don’t have anything of interest to

My picture of Β this one was just not working out. πŸ™

I squeed when I pulled this one out of the package!!! My favorite author and I have been really wanting to read this one!! πŸ™‚

Year and Ocean

Books read last week

redΒ Wars Passion

Currently reading

mist of midnightΒ DauntlessΒ vanishing girl

I am really enjoying Mist of Midnight. Dauntless is kind of slow it seems all they do if frolic in the woods, so I am having a hard time with this one. πŸ™ Anyone read it?

Also I am not sure if I will continue with Vanishing GirlsΒ  s as I started it and right off the bat the teenagers are having a party in the barn with a lot of alcohol and it seems that their parents don’t care..someone had to buy at that beer. I do not like teenage drinking parties in YA novels as I don’t condone it, I know it happens but I don’t think it belongs in a book for teens to read about. πŸ™ I have only made it to 7% and I hate it so I am not sure about continuing. If you have read it can you tell me if it will redeem itself if I keep going?

What might be up next

I almost picked up Don’t Stay Up Late. I decided to pass with how many I already added to my kindle this week, and I’ve been trying to only add what I can read in a week. Enjoy your haul!

    • Stormi

I wish I could do that, my addiction is to much for me to not one click on

  2. Berls

I know, I’m so over winter too. Hopefully this is it for us! Look at all those kindle books. I’m resisting!! LOL! I need to get current on that Molly Harper series, now that I know it exists – I just discovered it a few months ago, but I love her writing, its hilarious. Have a good week Stormi πŸ™‚

    • Stormi

I so hope it’s the last of the bad weather! And you really need to catch up on Molly Harper’s books. πŸ™‚

  3. Red Iza

Oh, Elsker, I got it last year but haven’t got to reading it yet. R.L. Stine is my youngest’s favorite author, she’s a huge fan ! Springtime has arrived here (during the day, at least), I’m sending you some sunrays to dry your path and cheer up your day !

    • Stormi

Yeah the days are nice but the nights are still a bit chilly. I have liked R.L. Stine for a long time so I couldn’t help but pick it up. πŸ™‚

I am so tired of the Winter too! And I LIKE the Winter usually. But I like a nice normal Southern Winter. Not this crazy where Mother Nature has us confused with the North! So ready for flip flops and to put away all my coats!

    • Stormi

I know, I don’t mind it being a little chilly out but when Mother Nature brings on the snow and ice it’s time for spring. πŸ™‚

    • Stormi

I didn’t know about it till my blogging buddy Mandy showed it to me. πŸ™‚

  5. Michelle@Because Reading

I was so bummed I got denied for Stay Up Late πŸ™ You have to let me know how it is so I can be sad for getting denied and get it when it comes out since Netgalley hates me again πŸ™‚

All of our snow is covering drains so we will have floods when it melts. I just hate when the snow melts and all the garbage under snow, so gross for a couple weeks until the town cleans it up. People are so gross.

    • Stormi

Oh that is so not right, I really didn’t think I would get accepted for it but I did. I will read it for both of us and let you know. πŸ™‚

    • Stormi

I have A Wicked Thing to review as well as winning this copy so I need to get to it soon as well. πŸ™‚

  6. RO

I’m in the minority and enjoy winter because I don’t like ‘glistening’ if i can avoid it. (lol) Looks like you’ve had a super busy week with plenty of goodies. Very cool! Hugs…

    • Stormi

Well, our house is drafty, and I live in the country where you have to get wood in so I hate winter..if I lived in a nice warm house with central heat and air..I don’t think I would mind the seasons as πŸ™‚

  7. Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookviews

Now, I completely understand why you opted out of getting Material Girls, Stormi! what a haul this week πŸ™‚
I hope you’ll enjoy all your new additions!
I’m sad COYER is over, too, but there are lots of other things going on these days.
Have a fantastic week, my friend.

    • Stormi

I hope I enjoy them all too. πŸ™‚ I am a little sad that COYER is over but now I can read some print books that wouldn’t have counted. πŸ™‚ Can’t wait till Summer COYER it’s going to be fun!

  8. Karen Blue

Great haul! I have heard great things about Vanishing Girls. I hope you enjoy all your new reads. Thanks for the links to the freebies. Happy reading!

    • Stormi

Thanks, I seen a lot of good things about Vanishing Girls to which makes me think it’s just me and it’s not a good fit for me. πŸ™

  9. Tressa @ Wishful Endings

I didn’t grab Don’t Stay Up Late. That cover and synopsis gave me the chills enough. Lol! I hope you enjoy it though, as well as your other books. Mist of Midnight and Dauntless are both high on my tbr and I hope to be reading soon. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

  10. Lola

I also got Strange Magic as a freebie this week and started reading it this morning. I hope the snow goes away soon, we haven’t had much snow this year and have pretty mild spring weather now with cold nights.
I hope you havea great week!
