The Week In Review #259

August 4, 2019 Misc. 9

The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading?  If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

I really have nothing to report. It was hot then it rained. The end. 🙂

I am still watching Veronica Mars and I am on season 3 which means I am pretty close to getting to the new episodes and I am so curious about it.

What you might have missed on my blog

Books I have added

  • The Deep – So I am sure everyone know I wasn’t a fan of The Hunger but I kind of wanted to try this one and then Barb said she got it and I thought hey why not we can buddy read this one together and see if the author redeems herself in our eyes. 🙂
  • The Missing Ones – Book two in the Hester Thursby Mysteries. Still need to read book one so maybe this will give me a push to do so. 🙂

Library Haul

  • Never Have I Ever – Hoping it’s good, not sure yet.
  • Book of Life – This month’s buddy read as we finish out the All Souls Trilogy (though we are buddy reading the companion one next month as well).
  • The Mysterious Murder at Style – Going to give Agatha Christie a shot! I can’t believe I have never read one of her books I have failed as a mystery lover…lol. 🙂
  • Something Read, Something Dead – Another cozy to help me catch up on my hundreds of series I have going!! 🙂

Books read last week

  • The Night is Forever – Book #11 in the Krewe of Hunters series and I enjoyed it a lot. I always like these they are just fun paranormal romances.
  • A Scandal in Scarlet – Book #4 in the Sherlock Holmes Bookshop mysteries and this gets me caught up till the one coming out Next year. 🙂
  • Trinkets – So not my ordinary read by I was curious and it was offered to me to listen too and it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be…lol. The Netflix show though is a lot different.

Currently reading

  • Never Have I Ever – It’s a thriller but at about 100 pages in I am not real thrilled, so it goes back to the library tuesday and I may not finish. It could pick up if I give it a chance.
  • They Kill – Not a lot happening right now but I am sure it will get better.
  • Aru Shah and the Song of Death – Now this one started out with a bang and has been pretty entertaining!
  • The Bone Garden – Just starting this one so no opinion yet.

What might be up next

How was your week? What did you get?

  1. Jessica @ a GREAT read

You’re farther ahead then me! I just started season 2, but then I went to bed early last night since I had so little sleep Friday night! Then next weekend I’ve got plans so my binge watching will be put to a halt! But I’ll be hanging out with the person who I hope to borrow their Hulu login, so it all works out! Lol.

Nice new reads! Those are new to me ones but I hope you enjoy them!

    Here’s my StS

    Have a GREAT day!

Veronica Mars- I really need to try that show. I’ve seen all the love for it and I think it’s cool how they’ve made new episodes. Sounds great.

The Deep kind of looks like a trip!
