The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading? If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.
So this was pretty much binge week and so watched a lot more TV than reading as I prepared for Stranger Things 3 which if I must say was kind of a let down. I didn’t like it as much as the first two seasons and the ending pissed me off, though I did watch through the credits on the last one and found that it could have redeeming qualities if I what I think happened happened…lol. I know there is at least one more season.
It’s been very hot here so not much else to do but stay indoors and read and watch tellie! I do believe Summer has arrived here now that the temps are staying in the 90’s…ugh. I was supposed to mow but I ran out of gas on Monday, then accidently left the key on and ran the battery down and it’s finally running again but gah it’s so hot I don’t want to Mow! 🙂
Have a great week and happy reading!

Publisher

- Amelia Fang #1 & #2 – These look super adorable and about a little vampire. They have lots of cool illustrations too!
Books read last week

- The Haunting of Henry Davis – This was a cute story of friendship with a little spooky paranormal thrown in.
- A Small Zombie Problem – A cute story about a lonely boy who just wanted to fit in with some new family members but things don’t go as planned especially when a zombie starts following him.
- No Escape Claws – #6 in the Second Chance Cat series and as good as always! I love the senior group who are private investigators and how they always drag Sarah into things and drive Nick crazy because he is the detective and his mom is one who started Charlotte’s Angels…lol.
Currently reading

- Shadow of Night – I am a little over halfway through and I am starting to really get into it!
- Word to the Wise – #10 in one of my favorite series, The Library Lovers series, and I am really enjoying it even if they have my favorite person as a suspect! Errrr….lol. 40% into it.
- Teeth in the Mist – The audio can be confusing at times but super creepy at the same time! It has like whispering voices that really creep me out! So far I am enjoying it.
- Changes – #12 of The Dresden Files and boy did Harry Dresden’s life change a bit in this one with finding out about a secret someone kept from him! So far I am enjoying it just like all the others!
What might be up next

How was your week? What did you get?

I misread the title of the first Amelia Fang book. I thought it said Amelia Fang and the Barbie Doll.:-) Have a great reading week!

I plan to watch the new season of Stranger Things tomorrow. And it’s been in triple digits here. So hot and humid. It was in the 90s last night! The pool is actually hot!

I need to get to Left Fur Dead but am starting Shadow of Night next. I wish it would cool down just a tad!

I will be watching the season three of Stranger things this week. I am sorry it didn’t work well for you, but I have heard good things about it. I am hating the heat here too, we are at 104 today. And this is just the beginning of summer for us.

It’s been super hot here too! Not a fan. 🙂 And I’m on episode five of Stranger Tings at the moment- not sure how I feel about it yet? Some of the humor is not working for me, and then other things are okay. a mixed bag so far.
I’ll have to make sure I watch the end credits scene, I didn’t know about that!
Storm Blown looks good!

It is way to hot to mow grass and when the temperature isn’t too high the humidity more than makes up for it. Staying off NetGalley definitely helps with getting new books but it’s so hard to do! Hope you have a great week!

I didn’t think season two was as good as season one and never finished it. I’m watching Jessica Jones and NOS4A2, which I’m enjoying. It is hot and extremely humid here. I go to ride my horse and just get soaking wet with sweat. I’m hoping it will cool down soon. Have a great week.

I’m glad that you got to watch some of your favorite shows. That Stranger Things ending was a killer! Wonder how long we will wait for the next season?
Tammy @ Books, Bones & Buffy
I really want to read Teeth in the Mist, I hope I get a copy from NetGalley!

I feel like a lot of people share your thoughts re: Stranger Things season three. I actually enjoyed it a lot more than season two. Still, I could have done with a lot of alterations re: the last two or so episodes of the new season, you know? Hope that by the time season four swings around, you enjoy it more than this season!!
Anyways, hope you have a great week ahead!

I’ve been binge watching The Big Bang Theory. Mowing is nominally my husband’s choice, but he hates doing it no matter the weather.
Have a great reading week
