April 14, 2019 Memes 18

BMR,OHMy (1)The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading? ย If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

What’s new reader peeps?

Not a whole lot going on here except for a tv series binge. I finally got a dvd player hooked up in my room so I could watch the movies I have and one of the things I have been wanting to do was binge my all time favorite tv show from when I was a youngster and that is Scarecrow and Mrs. King (had such a crush on Bruce Boxleitner growing up! Heck I still like him…lol). It has four seasons and I bought them all several years ago when I seen they were coming out on DVD and I have probably binged it 30+ times…lol.

Also if any of you are When Calls The Heart Fans and been bummed by what Lori Loughlin did and how she got fired from Hallmark and everything she was in taken off (which I deem unfair to all the other actors that starred in them!) When this happened S6 had just started and we rallied the troops to let them know how we felt and they were quick to let us know they were not canceling the show. So they have been trying to figure away to edit her out which I think will be hard to do as she is pretty much the heart of the show, but they torture me with making me wait and watch their newest romance to find out information about what is going on which is totally unfair but not extreme torture…lol. Update: Okay so found out that they are having a special two night thing in May and they announced a season 7 but now I am confused. Are they just skipping over S6 or is the two night special suppose to stand in for that season?? Confused…lol. Oh well, I will take anything they give me!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

I really wish Mother Nature would get her act together, I feel bad for those in the blizzard states but at the same time glad it didn’t trickle down to me. We have had some cooler days and nights but I won’t complain cause it could have been worse. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Update: It snowed!! Not a whole lot but it was surprising to wake up and see a bit of white! It could have snowed more but didn’t stick because we had a lot of rain before the snow. April is being real weird…lol.

Have a great week and happy reading!!

What you might have missed on my blog

Books I have added

  • Chop Shop – I wasn’t going to get this one but then curiosity got the best of me…lol. Two ladies who are business partners at a funeral home who are in debt start selling off body parts which was going well till a gangster they parted up was diseased.

Books read last week

  • 204 Rosewood Lane – Second book in the Cedar Cove series and I enjoyed getting back into the lives in the small town.
  • Thread on Arrival – Yes, I am caught up now on this series till a new one comes out later this year. I really enjoyed this one.
  • Silence of the Lamb’s Wool – Trying to play caught up on some cozy series so this is book two of the Yarn Retreat series. Will be listening to the next one soon. It had been a while between book one and two but once I got back into things I enjoyed it.

Currently reading

  • 311 Pelican Court – Continuing with the Cedar Cove series as I am just in the mood for fluff right now. ๐Ÿ™‚
  • No Exit – I need to read this before my time is up on overdrive and Barb thinks I will like it so I hope I do!
  • Death in Dark Blue – Another cozy series I am trying to catch up on (there are soooo many…lol) This is book two of the Writer’s Apprentice series.

What might be up next

I started a Tina Glasneck book, not my normal reading genre, but Hellish got me intrigued with its nod to Norse mythology and the cool cover.

Wow, look at the Devouring Gray cover! Awesome.

    • Stormi

Yeah, that show was a lot of fun! It’s the only series I have ever bought on dvd…lol. I would like to get all my childhood favorites!

Sucks they had to end season 6 and rework her but she is an idiot for doing what she did. However, I don’t know why they don’t just recast her and refilm the parts that she was in giving a new season 6. Not like everyone doesn’t know what happened and it would at least continue the story and be fair to the rest of the cast.

Have a great week Stormi! Happy Reading! xo

April IS being weird- it’s snowing NOW. I can’t believe this. And I love binging favorite old shows! It’s so fun… like comfort watching haha!

I don’t know much about the current scandal but I remember movies and whatnot that Loughlin was in and I always kinda liked her.

    I loved No Exit!!!

I hope you are enjoying your current read and Chop Shop looks good. I agree that Mother Nature needs to make up her mind but I guess soon enough we’ll be complaining about being too hot. I really want to read “The Devouring Gray” and have requested my library get a copy – we’ll see. I’m glad your show is coming back and they didn’t give up on the fans. Such a sad situation.

  5. Katherine @ I Wish I Lived in a Library

I’m upset by the Lori Laughlin thing for so many reasons. Partly it makes no sense to me – if you’re rich and you want your kid to go to a specific college than donate a whole bunch of money like other rich people do. Your kid gets in and everyone else gets a new library or new computer equipment. I don’t watch When Calls the Heart but the Garage Sale Mysteries are my absolute favorite and I hate that they’ve completely disappeared. I definitely agree that it isn’t fair to the other actors – or the viewers. I mean I completely understand not working with her anymore but wiping away any trace of her existence seems a bit over the top. It’s this whole cancel culture I think. And end rant! Hope you’re having a great week and that the weather has finally straightened itself out.
