BMR,OHMy (1)The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading?  If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

Not much to report on this week. I am ready for the warm weather but not the T-storms that come with it. 🙁

So I might be slightly addicted to a new series based on a book series that I have only read book one and now I want to read it again and so Barb and I are going to add it to our buddy reads soon and read the trilogy. (hope she likes it!) It’s A Discovery of Witches and I watched all 8 episodes three times this week…lol. I didn’t think I was going to like Matthew Goode as the vampire Matthew Claremont but I think I am  bewitched….lol. I started watching The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina  and at first I wasn’t sure if I would like it but it’s growing on me.

What you might have missed on my blog

Books I have added

Netgalley

  • The Scent of Murder – A Mystery with a dog! I am game. 🙂
  • Kingdom of Exiles – Don’t remember requesting this one but it sounds cool so I guess I must have…lol. 🙂 It’s book one of the Beast Charmers.

Books read last week

  • 16 Lighthouse Road – Reread of book one Cedar Cove series. I recently started watching the tv show over again and it reminded me I never finished this series. I think I only read the first three so starting over so I can finish the series. I think it’s helping me get out of my slump. I just needed some fluff to read for a bit. 🙂
  • Thread Herrings – I really like this series and this one is about an embroidery piece that gets Angie into a lot of danger.

Currently reading

Four books and an audio! I can’t make up my mind!! 🙂

  • 204 Rosewood Lane – Continuing with  my reread of the first few books in the Cedar Cove series so that I can finish the ones I haven’t read. It’s been to long so needed to remember what I already read. 🙂 19% into this one.
  • Thread on Arrival – I hadn’t planned on starting this one but it happened…lol. 3% in.
  • The Dark Game – This is a buddy read and the book is only little over 300 pages but the writing is tiny so figured I best get started now and not wait till the last minute. 🙂 4 chapters in but not far in pages numbers but I can’t remember something like 14 or so.
  • Kill the Queen – Library book I got on overdrive and trying to get to it before time runs out. 10% in.
  • Magic Bleeds – The other buddy read for this month as we continue with book four of the Kate Daniel series. 7 hours left to listen.

Maybe one will grab me and I will run with it. 🙂

What might be up next

Probably those I am reading above but just in case here are some contenders. 🙂

How was your week? What did you get?

  1. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Nice! I tried reading The Discovery of Witches a long time ago, but sadly was unable to get into it. I still find myself somewhat excited when I hear about a book series being made into a TV show though, even if I won’t ever watch it! Lol. I do watch The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina though, I’m halfway through the new season. It creeps me out sometimes, so I have to take breaks! Lol.

Nice new reads too! Those are new to me ones but I hope you will enjoy them!! I’m curious about No Exit, so if that happens to pop up in your reading queue soon, I will definitely look forward to your review! Happy Reading!

    Here’s my STS

    Have a GREAT day!

Yeah, Discovery of Witches is kind of long as are the next two in the trilogy. To bad you didn’t enjoy it but if you get a chance to watch the show it takes all the good parts and makes a pretty awesome show. 🙂

I hope to get to No Exit soon as it’s a library book!

  2. Anne - Books of My Heart

I’ve read Discovery of Witches and now I want to listen to the series on audio. Probably never get to the tv version. I have Kingdom of Exiles and almost got Scent of Murder but someone said there was hardly any dog related stuff. I vote for reading Kate Daniels – always – or Kill the Queen. I’ve read and loved those both and I’m a UF fan.

Have a great week! I think we are going to get some of those thunderstorms, too.

    Here is my Sunday Post

  3. Carole @ Carole's Random Life in Books

Our weather this weekend has been great but I did hear that we are supposed to get storms tonight. I am not a fan of storms either. I received a widget for The Scent of Murder but haven’t decided on it yet. I will have to check out A Discovery of Witches. I just got caught up with Game of Thrones so I guess I am ready for something new to watch. Have a great week and enjoy your new books!

  4. Literary Feline

I hope to one day watch A Discovery of Witches. I really enjoyed the books. I am glad you are starting to enjoy Sabrina. It grew on me too. You read and reviewed two of my favorite authors this past week. I haven’t read either of the two books (Seanan’s and Weiss’s), but I am so glad you enjoyed them. Kingdom of Exiles sounds really good! So does The Scent of Murder. I hope you love them. Have a great week, Stormi!

  5. Greg

I’m really curious about A Discovery of Witches. It sounds fun even if I haven’t read the books. And yes the nicer weather is here- the windows are open, nice breeze blowing in, not COLd lol. I’ll take it!

I hope you like No Exit, I really enjoyed thatone.

  6. Shelleyrae @ Book’d Out

I really like the series adaptation too, can’t wait for more. You have some great books on your lists.

All the Water 8n the World sounds emotional.

Have a great reading week 🙂

  7. Katherine @ I Wish I Lived in a Library

I’m so curious about Discovery of Witches both on TV and in bookish form! Glad you’re loving it. It’s always fun to have something really click. I really need to read the Lea Waite series and I’ve got to read more Debbie Macomber. I’ve only read two of her zillion books and that was years ago. Hope you’re having a great week!
