The Week In Review #225

December 9, 2018 Misc. 13

BMR,OHMy (1)The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading? Β If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

Nothing really to report that I can think of just working on my two last projects for class. I am pretty much done and we have two classes left and I am kind of ready to be done…lol. I decided to not take any classes next semester because I didn’t really need to take the class offered and the way the weather has been I was afraid it might get nasty and I don’t like driving in the snow or making anyone else drive me around. πŸ™‚

Hope you all have a great week and happy reading!

What you might have missed on my blog

Books I have added

I am trying to be a good girl I really am so one is not to bad. πŸ™‚

Netgalley

  • Dead as a Door Knocker – Even though I made a pact with myself for no new cozies it was after I requested this one. I almost thought I wasn’t going to be approved and forgot about it…lol. Oh well, one more won’t hurt on top of the thousands! πŸ˜‰ It was hard to resist, house renovations and a dead body! πŸ™‚

Books read last week

  • The Christmasaurus – Cute kids book that would make a great bedtime story for those with little ones.
  • Christmas in Evergreen – I really enjoyed the book version of one of my favorite Christmas movies. I thought the author did a great job of adding to the story and I know it must be hard to take a script and add to it.
  • This Lie Will Kill You – Typical YA mystery and not real wowing or anything but it was decent, though I thought the author drug the ending out a bit.
  • Better Late Than Never – Another great story in the Library Lovers mystery series! Only two to go and I am caught up, not sure if that is a good or bad thing…lol.

Currently reading

Β Β
  • Tangled Up In Tinsel – The newest Kenni Lowry mystery and I am really enjoying it. Her ghostly grandfather always cracks me up.
  • Murder at the Mill – Just started this one but the prologue was interesting so I hope the rest of it will be too.
  • Back Stabbers – Just getting started on this one too but I love this series and this I believe will have me caught up on a cozy series….I am shocked…lol. πŸ™‚

What might be up next

Β
  • Camouflage – Once I get done with Christmas books I think I will be ready for a little prehistoric monster mystery.
  • Botched 4 Murder – Book four in the Sophie Kimble series and one of my favorite series and they are always fun.

How was your week? What did you get?

I didn’t pick up anything new this week. I didn’t finish what I have!

I’m looking forward to your Camouflage review when you get around to reading that one.

    • Stormi

I never let finish a book stop me from grabbing new ones…lol. Though I am trying to be better. πŸ™‚

  2. Jessica @ a GREAT read

That’s good that your class is almost done! Congrats!

Yay for the new read! Just one new book is always the best because you’re getting something new and shiny and yet not totally toppling the TBR pile over! Lol! Happy Reading!

    Here’s my STS

I don’t blame you about taking the semester off. The weather has been rather crazy in your area plus it will be a good break.

What a good girl you were, it was like someone took away your passwords lol I am trying to not get anything at the moment since I might be getting some books from the family for xmas and I really need to read what I have.

I hope you have a great week, Stormi! Happy Reading! ox

Ooh Backstabbers- man am I behind on THAT series lol. I didn’t even know about that one! I’ve been slacking, clearly. πŸ™‚

Dead as a Door Knocker looks fun too, and great cover.

Hope you had a great weekend Stormi. πŸ™‚

I hope you enjoy your break from school. I would be worried about picking it back up. After I went back for my IT degree, I decided to take a break before getting my masters and it never happened. Part of me still wants to go back and get it, but I also remember how much work it was to work full time while going to school. I don’t know that I have the energy for that any more. I hope you love all your new books. Have a great week.

Enjoy your break from school! Use it to rest and read and recharge yourself! I always worked and went to school but I did all of it when I was young. I was only 22 when I finished my MBA.

You were good! I always have 10-12 on Netgalley but they are all current (not yet published) I’m working hard now to corral my audiobook ARCs because there are multiple publishers and I’m never quite sure what I can get so it’s more of a challenge. And I want them ALL. lol

We had snow last weekend and it was Wednesday before they started school. Here in NC they have no clue how to deal with it except to shut down. Having lived in MN, it doesn’t even phase us.

Enjoy your books! Anne – Books of My Heart
