The Week In Review #224

December 2, 2018 Memes 14

BMR,OHMy (1)The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading?  If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

So besides crazy weather not a lot has happened around here. I am still working on my video montage and trying to make a commercial. That are the last two projects I have to make before class is out and he is just letting us work on them both and we will show them both off on the last day instead of taking a day to view one and then the other to allow us more work time. My last day is Dec. 12th.

I really can’t get over how it’s already December!!! Sighs.

Have a great week and happy reading!

What you might have missed on my blog

Books I have added

Netgalley

  • The Haunting of Henderson Close – I can’t seem to say no to a Flame Tree Press book…lol. 🙂 I am a sucker for a haunted tourist attraction going awry! (Jan. 2019)
  • Cat Got Your Crown – Doesn’t have a cover yet. It’s book four in The Kitty Couture Mysteries, I need to read #3 so maybe this will give me the push to do so. 🙂 Lacy owns a pet boutique and makes organic yummies for pets. Look like this one involves a pet pageant so that should be fun!(March 2019)

Books read last week

  • Read Herring Hunt – Well I sure didn’t get a lot finished last week…lol. This one was okay, check my review out to see what I really thought. 🙂

Currently reading

  • The Christmasaurus – It’s cute but maybe a bit to kiddie for adults. I think it would make a great bedtime story to be read out loud to kids. I have about 100 pages left.
  • This Lie Will Kill You – I can see why it says it’s Clue mixed with Riverdale and it’s okay. The likeness to Riverdale is almost a little too much like it in the facts that it’s about twins one boy one girl and they are strange…lol. I have about 150 pages left in it.
  • Tangled Up In Tinsel – The newest Kenny Lowry book and it’s all about Christmas which made it perfect for a booktube readathon I am doing called 12 Days of Cozmas. 🙂
  • Better Late Than Never – Book 7 in the Library Lovers series. I was hoping to catch up on the whole series before next year but I got to many other books so I will still have two more books to go in the new year…lol. Only about an hour into this one.

What might be up next

  • Christmas in Evergreen – Just started this one for a booktube readathon called 12 days of Cozmas. I know the story because it’s one of my favorite Hallmark movies turned into a book. 🙂
  • Murder at the Mill – A Christmas mystery. 🙂
  • Camouflage – Was suppose to get to this one in November but couldn’t work it in and the month just got away from me! It sounds cool it’s about a creature in the woods!
  • A Christmas Carol – I have read this one but needed a wintery classic so decided to listen to this one  as Jim Dale narrates it and I love him!! (Still in the #2 slot on overdrive so fingers crossed this comes in for me soon!)

How was your week? What did you get?

I’m looking forward to hearing what you think about Camouflage. I read an excerpt and really enjoyed it!

This week I added a non-fiction book called The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck. My goodness, it’s HARD o pick up a title like that in the bookstore.:-) I thought everyone in the bookstore was peering over my shoulder and judging me . . . which, if you think about it, is exactly why I need to read the book!

Ooh you got Camouflage too? I’m in the middle of that one right now. 🙂 Murder in the Mill sounds fun, and so does This Lie Will Kill You- I mean, Clue meets Riverdale? Wow hahahah!

Hope the snow stays away 🙂
