BMR,OHMy (1)The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading? Β If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

So I have been sick all week with a cold. πŸ™ First one I get and it’s a springtime cold, I blame most of it on the weather but I think a cute little girl that I played with the day before my cold came on coughed on me. I had signed up for the 24 hour read-a-thon but it was pretty much a bust as I couldn’t concentrate. Plus, I sort of binged season 3 of Good Witch to get ready for tonight’s season 4 premiere! πŸ™‚

The weather has started to play fair around here and act a bit more like spring though the nights are still a bit chilly. I am not complaining! πŸ™‚

The project for my class is due this week so next week I will show it off when I have it all finished up. πŸ™‚

Have a great week and happy ending!

What you might have missed on my blog

Books I have added

Forgot I even requested this one!!

  • #murdertrending – There is an app that you can watch convicted criminals die. Dee liked the app and thought it was good for those horrible criminals but what happens when she wakes up to find out she is in the app and could be the next one killed for a crime she says she didn’t do. Thought it sounded kind of cool!!!

Books read last week

  • My Gun is Quick – I was in my class and just wanted something quick to listen too so I found this on Libby and it was like 2 1/2 hours and my first time listening to a Mike Hammer mystery. It was fun and and kind of corny but I always like those old noir type crime novels.
  • Mardi Gras Murder – When my other cozy was failing me I picked this one up.Β  This series has never failed me and I love the cajun theme it has and it was a lot of fun! Isn’t Gopher just so cute!
  • Armed and Fabulous – First time with this author and I wasn’t sure how it would go but I really enjoyed this one. Reminded me a bit more of a romantic suspense than cozy but it was a lot of fun!
  • Captive on the Fens – My favorite gritty British crime series and it’s still not letting me down! I love all the characters and the stories are always so dark and just great!

Currently reading

  • The Wicked Deep – Heard so many things about this on booktube that I just had to dive in and see what it was about. πŸ™‚ So far I am enjoying it, it’s very atmospheric and I like the authors writing.
  • The Lucky Ones – Put on the back burner cause I wanted to read The Wicked Deep, but I think I am about to get to the more interesting things as she got a package from her brother(not brother), doesn’t that sound complicated…lol. If my time runs out I will have to put myself back on the holds list…lol.
  • A Dark and Stormy Murder – New series so I don’t know anything about it and I haven’t had a chance to listen to it yet except it tell me Chapter One…lol. πŸ™‚

I’ve had a cold all week too, it’s just sitting on my chest and not leaving. I’ve just got over a really bad ear infection/chest infection as well, I’m sick of it. πŸ™

  2. I’m sorry to hear about your cold. Rotten timing but I definitely wouldn’t have been able to concentrate either. I need to read Who Moved My Goat Cheese soon. I have it and I love Lynn Cahoon but it got kind of forgotten. Looking forward to seeing your project! Have a great week!

  3. Good luck with your project, and glad the weather is starting to cooperate more. I was starting to think spring was never coming! Sorry to hear you’re sick though- hope you feel better soon!

#murdertrending looks good and I’m curious about that one. also the Mike Hammer mystery looks kinda fun
