Well, the weather has gone downhill again. πŸ™ As I write this it is doing this nasty freezing mist thing and supposed to start snowing later tonight and on Sunday. πŸ™

Okay so this week you get the grand unveiling of my logo! πŸ™‚

It still needs a few tweaks but for the most part I am pretty sure this is how it’s going to look. I have a few other ideas I am working on for the website I have to make and will show them off later. πŸ™‚

One thing about doing a lot of work on my designing is lots of audiobooks are getting finished!! I am also trying to do some designing that is not connected to class so I can practice and get some cool designs to post on my new instagram page called Dark Storm Designs of course! πŸ™‚

Happy Reading!

What you might have missed on my blog

Books I have added

Netgalley/Edelweiss

I know I know! (this comment is for Michelle…lol) πŸ™‚

Β Β Β Β
  • The Spook in the Stacks – This is a favorite series of mine that I use to listen to on audio, but then it was cancelled. πŸ™ So I was really excited to see that a new publisher picked it up and the author was allowed to continue it. Now I am not sure I have seen any Crooked Lane books on Tantor Audio where I get my audios so I figured I best snatch it up in ebook form. πŸ™‚ A lighthouse library who wouldn’t want to read this series!
  • Death and a Pot of Chowder – While interviewing Lea Wait I found out that this is her with a different name!! I am a huge fan of her Mainely Needlepoint series so I had to jump on this new series! I have always wanted to travel to Maine so reading this author is my one way of traveling there!
  • Bad Man – #Barbmademedoit!! πŸ™‚ This was on her stack this weekend and it sounds really good. I am a little worried because I have not had the best of luck with my thrillers this year. πŸ™ It’s about a boy who takes his eyes of his little brother for a second and loses him and can’t find him. He never gives up hope of finding him even 5 years later and it seems something sinister is going on in that grocery store!! Please be good, please please!! LOL πŸ™‚Β

Update!!! Library Loot

I had two audios come in at the same time from the library that I had on hold!!! UGH

Β
  • An Enchantment of Ravens – This has been on my holds since November 3rd! I sure hope I enjoy it…lol
  • There’s Someone Inside Your House – This one has been on that hold list for the same amount of time and I have seen mixed reviews about this one which is why I figured library was the way to go. πŸ™‚

Which one should I listen to first!!

Books read last week

Β Β Β Β
  • Lamentation – Sighs, was so hoping it was going to be a good one but it was pretty lackluster, or I am just getting harder on books…lol. 2.5 stars
  • The Ghosts of Kali Oka Road – Had a lot of potential but the ending felt like it was two quickly done and I think it would have benefited from being a little bit longer as it wa a short listen. 2 stars
  • Survival of the Fritters – At least I know my cozies won’t let me down!! This was really cute! 4 stars
  • The Last Wolf – It was really different for a PNR type books but still was only mediocre to me. 3 stars
  • Dial M for Mousse – This is one of my new favorite series and now I am all caught up! Phew! getting caught up on my cozies is tough stuff as I got so many going! πŸ™‚Β  4 stars

Currently reading

Β
  • The Woman in the Window – Okay, so I am going to admit that at 15% in I am a bit on the bored side, so if you have read this one please tell me it’s going to pick up soon!!! I get a bit impatient with the slow starts to my thrillers. πŸ™
  • Chili Con Corpse – I really like this Supper Club series! πŸ™‚

What might be up next

Β Β Β Β Β

I was going to start The Reunion but my online library bought a bunch more of The Woman in the Window bumping me up on the list and well I feel sorry for the 158 people behind me, so decided to put this one off again!! I really want to read it!!! πŸ™‚

How was your week? What did you get?

We both better keep our fingers crossed with Bad Man huh? Hope it isn’t another Chalk Man. I am anxious to hear your thoughts on The Reunion because even if it has nothing to do with the book, I’m totally in love with that cover. I think you should read An Enchantment of Ravens so I know if I need to check it back out from the library again – didn’t get to it the first time around. The logo looks GREAT!

Wow I like the logo! Nice. Very professional too. Go you!! πŸ™‚

The Spook in the Stacks looks fun. And I’d vote for Enchantment of Ravens, even though I haven’t read it- There’s Someone in the House was okay but I didn’t love.

I liked the Woman in the Window but to be honest I’m not sure it picks up much? It kind of has that same pace throughout, I think. But I will say there is a killer (heh) twist at the end, that I didn’t see coming. The Reunion looks good too, I bought that one.

I love the logo you made. I am quite the novice with that kind of thing. I always end up asking my teen for help. Great new books this week! Yay for having a favorite series get picked up again. I am considering listening to The Last Wolf but have seen several mediocre reviews for it so I am not sure. Have a great week!
