The Week In Review #158

September 17, 2017 Misc. 25

BMR,OHMy (1)The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading? Β If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

Not much happening this week which is a good thing. πŸ™‚ It’s been a lot warmer this week than it was during August, strange but I like it. πŸ™‚ I think that might change though as it’s suppose to start raining.

Didn’t get finished with my project in photoshop as I thought we only had to do one but we have to do three so still working on them and hopefully will be done on Monday. I am finding I am not very good with surrealism as I have a hard time trying to put things in a picture that don’t belong…lol. So next Sunday I will have my pics. πŸ™‚

Hope everyone is having a great weekend and happy reading! πŸ™‚

What you might have missed on my blog

Books I have added

NOTHING!!! Wooot woot! I do have a few things requested and I am sure this empty slot won’t last long but for now I am just going to sigh with content…lol. πŸ™‚

Since I didn’t get any review books I thought I would post a couple freebies I got. πŸ™‚

  • From the Grave – Seen this one on Laura’s blog and it looked really cute and since it was free. πŸ™‚
  • That One May Smile – My copy looks cooler than this one but it wasn’t on goodread and I didn’t feel like putting it there…lol. Book one in A Garda West series. It’s a mystery. πŸ™‚

Books read last week

Β Β
  • We Are Always Watching – This turned out different that I originally thought but it a good way! πŸ™‚
  • But For the Grace – Second in the D.C. Smith series and a bit different that a lot of crime novels as it’s set in a nursing home and some things that happen there.
  • Dark Exodus – One wild ride! Book two in The Demonist series and it was so full of things going on that sometimes I got a little confused but the ending packed a punch and I want the next one now! πŸ™‚

Currently reading

Β Β
  • Ax to Grind – Tonya is a favorite author so I am enjoying this one and love Kenni’s grandpa who is a ghost. πŸ™‚
  • Madness in Christmas River – Third book in the Christmas River mystery series and I thought after two long audios I need a short one and I like this series.
  • A Study in Scarlet Women – Listening to this one on my phone when I am in the car going to my class. So far I am enjoying it.

What might be up next

Yeah, the first one is still my favorite, the second was okay, so I hope Money Back will be better. Barb liked it better than the second one. I found Tonya late into her series so her Southern ghost series I haven’t read but want too. πŸ™‚

We were having some pretty cool mornings the week before but last week some mornings were back into the 60’s and I woke up sweating. I am not reading for cooler weather yet…lol.

A Study in Scarlet Women has been pretty good so far, so hope you can get your hands on it soon. πŸ™‚

From the Grave does sound cute. Hope you get to listen to A Study in Scarlet Women soon. πŸ™‚

It’s supposed to get warm here later next week, mid 80’s or so I guess, so yeah Sept might actually be warmer here than August was too. Or close anyway. Hope A Study in Scarlet Women is good, it looks like it would be. Nice cover on that one.

It’s just plain hot here…lol. I am sure that will change because the more it rains the cooler it normally gets. Never know with this weather these days though.

I don’t think I’d be good at surrealism either. Anytime I had to do anything creative it was never a good thing. I always have to have things symmetric. Yay for a no NetGalley week. I occasionally have one of those and it makes me feel so virtuous! At least for a little while. I’m glad you’re enjoying Study in Scarlet Woman. It took me a little while to get into it but I really enjoyed the audio and I really liked the 2nd book. Have a great week!

Occasionally no NG happens and then usually all my request come in just like it did this week…lol.

It is really hard to resist the books and I normally do great one week and horrible the next…lol. πŸ™‚

We got lost of rain so far in August, although we have some slightly warmer days now suddenly. Good luck with your photoshop project.

I now have the first two books on that Tonya Kappes series, but haven’t started it yet. I really need to read one of her books soon. Have a great week!
