BMR,OHMy (1)The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading? Β If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

Not much to report this week. I did go and see Spiderman Homecoming and it was okay. I still like the Toby McGuire ones more. This one does portray Spiderman as a teen with all the teen angst and I am a hero I should be an avengers right now, I need a mission, teen drama…lol. Then gets himself in trouble…lol. Overall, it was just okay once you get past the first hour it picks up more. πŸ™‚

My blood pressure has been high this week and I haven’t felt well. The doctor thought it was the medicine I was on to try and get some sleep so I quit taking it Β and monitoring it with a wrist blood pressure cuff my dad has and it’s staying pretty high, so might have to go back to drs. Blah. I turned 42 and I am falling apart I guess…lol.

Weather wise it’s HOT HOT HOT. πŸ™‚

  1. I keep debating about the new Spiderman movie. I may wait in the long run and rent it. Guess I’m always confused with all these different Spiderman movies and how they’re always sooo different! I don’t know my comic book lore so perhaps that plays a part in my confusion.

I worry about having high blood pressure myself some day. It doesn’t help that I still really hate going to the doctor. Doesn’t matter which doctor or what for, but it always gets my heart racing and that always gives them concern. Might need to suggest that they check that at the end of the appointment but I can’t guarantee my heart won’t still be racing! Lol! I guess in part it’s also because it’s like a test and I’m fearful of “failing”!

Nice new reads too! All totally new to me ones! Hope you enjoy each and every one of them!

    Here’s my STS

    Have a GREAT day!

I use to read the comics a long time ago but I don’t really remember them like some of the huge comic buffs out there but I do no a little of the story line. It is kind of confusing with all the different ones out. I think if you are not a huge Spiderman fan that you wait and rent or stream it.

I hate going to doctors as well but I think if my BP doesn’t go down soon I might have to check in with him and make sure everything is okay. I would rather have to take meds then have something bad happen due to BP being to high.

My doctor is pretty cool so I don’t feel like my BP rises with him, I tell everyone he is sort of like the techie version of a country doctor. He uses a laptop and takes down all his notes on it. One day he was eating some beef jerky a patient brought him…lol.

  2. I think they are trying to grab more teen viewers with the new Spiderman to bring them into the Avengers moves.

Did he give you high blood pressure pills to take? Cut back on all salt and drink lots of water to flush your system and keep me posted!!!

Miss you my friend! Happy Birthday! and Happy Reading!
    Have a great week!

Your probably right but it so ruined my Spiderman viewing…lol. I can’t wait for Aquaman to come out!!! πŸ™‚ He was always one of my faves…and have you seen the man playing him…lol. πŸ™‚

No pills yet, he thought it was the meds but I have been taking my blood pressure since I seen him on Thursday and it seems a bit high still so if it doesn’t go down soon I might see about having him check it again.

No the heat is not helping, I keep saying I need to go mow the yard but it’s so hot I don’t want too…lol. I am going to have to suck it up and mow it then jump in a cool shower…lol.

  3. I haven’t kept up with movies at all lately – didn’t even realize a new Spiderman was out! LOL! Doesn’t sound like one for me, though, so that’s okay. I still want to see Wonderwoman, but will probably wait for Netflix.

So sorry about the blood pressure! Keep an eye on it for sure – have you been out in the heat a lot? I wonder if that impacts it? Fingers crossed it’s just a little phase and it won’t keep up!

    Have a great week!

Then you will be surprised to know just how many comic movies are coming out…lol. A new Thor, a new Avenger, The Justice League, Aquaman (the one I am most patiently waiting on!), The Ant Man and The Wasp, I could go on….lol. πŸ™‚

I have been taking my BP three times a day, it’s still kind of high but not as bad as it was on Friday. I still get headaches and a bit shaky feeling some times.

  4. Spider-Man is on our list of to see movies but I have heard mixed reviews so I haven’t made it there yet. Hope you are able to get your blood pressure down 😟

    • Stormi

I hope you enjoy it more than me, just not one of my favorites of the Marvel movies. The highlight of the movie was the bit pieces with Robert Downy Jr. πŸ™‚

  5. Good luck with your blood pressure, I’m sure they’ll figure it out. I hear you though- getting older does suck lol. Can I be twenty again?? πŸ™‚

I haven’t been very motivated to see SpiderMan, I guess he’s not one of the Marvel heroes I’m into, although I’ve heard it was good. I thought Tobey McGuire did a good job too, he seemed like SpiderMan.

Lobe that cover of This Side of Murder. Looks like a good one.

    • Stormi

He use to be one of my favorites when it was Toby McGuire who played him…lol. I am waiting on some more Justice League ones though, Aquaman being the big one for me as he was one of my favs. πŸ™‚

Hoping to get the BP down so I don’t have to get meds!! πŸ™‚ I wouldn’t mind being twenty again too…lol.

  6. I sure hope you get to feeling better. Mr. Barb has blood pressure issues so I know how much they can throw you off. I can’t wait to see what you think of Arrowood. I’m super interested in that one. Getting older does suck. When you are young, you have little knowledge and seem indestructible…when you are older, you’re smart enough to know what you want but your body can’t keep up. Seems to me like some days it’s a lose/lose situation.

    • Stormi

I hope Arrowood is good but it’s kind of slow right now. I did have to stop and start a tour book I totally forgot about cause I keep forgetting to look at my planner…lol.

I think BP seems to be getting better at least it’s not as high as it was Friday!

  7. I was just talking with my doctor about how I seem to be falling apart. I’m 37 and everything seems to be crapping out on me. I’m gaining weight no matter how much I exercise, my A1C is going up even though I have been taking medication and cutting sugar, my hearing is getting worse. Getting old totally sucks!!
Hope you have a good week!

    • Stormi

It does seem like I am starting to fall apart, my knees are killing me, my BP is high, headaches, etc…lol…but as an overweight person I am fairly healthy to the fact that I have no diabetes, no problems with thyroid, or liver or kidney as he run the test on them all trying to figure out why I have such a hard time losing weight. πŸ™ πŸ™‚ Just getting old it’s such a bummer.

  8. So sorry about your blood pressure woes, Stormi. I hope they can sort things out. I’m having thyroid problems. Way too high and they keep trying different things each month until they find the right one. Makes me gain wait. Like I need that problem! LOL I was wondering how your garden did while you were away?

  9. I’m sorry you aren’t feeling well. I’m on high blood pressure medicines now and sometimes it makes me feel sick. I have to remember to drink a lot of water since the medicines help to flush out my system so I can get dehydrated. I hope you feel better!! I hope you enjoy all your new books and have a good week!

  10. I’m not interested in the Spiderman movies. My aunt always had the Toby ones on it seemed all the time at her house. It felt so whiny to me. I hope the doc can pinpoint your blood pressure issues. The last few times I’ve gone to any appointments mine has been high, too. When I went in May to the urgent care clinic, they took it almost 10 times! THAT didn’t help! I hope you start feeling better.
