The Week In Review #14

December 6, 2014 Memes 17

Week ReviewThe Week In Review is my way of putting together Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading? Please go check out the host blogs for more information on these memes.

So this week has been a rather boring week and not really anything to report. I spent way to much time on the computer and didn’t do much reading this week. I had a bit of a stomach bug this week and that was not real fun but thank goodness it was just the 24 hour kind.

I am realizing the there are not to many days left before Christmas and I still haven’t done any shopping!! I got to get on that this weekend..lol. I am such a procrastinator when it comes to Christmas presents and can be found on Christmas eve at Walmart getting last minute things..ugh. 🙂

While I am writing this I am binging on my favorite TV show from the 80’s Scarcrow and Mrs. King. I loved that show growing up and had such a crush on Bruce Boxlitner..lol. I am so glad that all four season are out on DVD!

Okay so that is about it for Off the Blog news…lol.

I love buying/making gifts and wrapping them and seeing them under the tree, so its the one thing I really don’t procrastinate on. Good luck getting shopping!

I’m excited because Gilmore Girls is on Netflix now, so I’m going to start binge watching it while blogging 🙂

    • ladystorm

I don’t mind buying gifts but I hate wrapping..I like wrap everything the night before Christmas…lol.

I have never watched Gilmore Girls so maybe I will check it out some time. 🙂

      • Terri M.

Stormi, I’ll come over and wrap presents for you! 🙂 I try to have the bulk of my Christmas shopping done before Thanksgiving so I can have presents under the tree when my family comes over to Turkey. We don’t go over the top with our holiday decorating because the two cats terrorize everything!

Now if I could just get some motivation to finish my Christmas cards…

You may come over and wrap for me…LOL I don’t even have a tree for putting presents under..lol. We just stack them up in the corner or in the closet till time to give them out. I use to be in to trees but since my mom died I haven’t really put a tree up, did it for a couple years after when my niece and nephew were small but now I don’t even bother..I’m such a Scrooge. 🙂

I don’t even do Christmas Cards. 🙁 I always say I will but I never do..maybe this year I will!

  2. Katherine @ I Wish I Lived in a Library

Aack! Don’t mention Christmas! I’m not ready! You got some great books this week! I got Twisted Threads and am really looking forward to reading it. Glad your stomach bug was shortlived and enjoy your Netflix binging. I’m doing some serious Criminal Minds watching and am loving it though it has me a bit jumpy!

  3. ladystorm

Oh I know it’s too early for Christmas..lol. I hope we both enjoy Twisted Threads!

I really need to binge on Criminal Minds in order..I watch it on A&E but it’s not in order and they repeat to much..lol.

  4. Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookviews

Good thing your stomach flu only lasted 24 hours, Stormi! I’m still procrastinating about presents, too. I haven’t gotten a single one yet :O
The Accidental Demon Slayer seems to be a fun books, I hope you’ll enjoy it!
Thanks for linking to my post 🙂 I wish I was more knowledgable than I am – but you know…
Have a great week and happy reading!

    • Stormi

I haven’t bought any either, was going to do it this weekend but had to spend that money on something else, so next paycheck.

I wish I knew more about WP and that sort of stuff too!

      Have a great week!

  5. Michelle@Because Reading

you actually have 17 days till Xmas 😉

Stomach bugs are PURE EVIL! Demons of some kind made them. They are just the worst and I hate getting them and the kids. Just awful. I hope you are feeling better!

I guess you and I have abandoned the idea of waiting until next year to get new books because each week we seem to be getting more and more Lol.

I need to binge watch a few things and of course I have a Roku in the living room and it never occurred to me to move it into the kitchen to do all my netflix watching lol.

    Have a great week Stormi!

    • Stormi

Michelle, thanks for the reminder!!! You EVIL Christmas lover..lol.

I try really hard not to get any books or at least review ones but darn it I get sucked in….and I need to stop looking at everyones freebies or I am going to need a year long COYER…lol.

      Have a great week!

  6. Bea @Bea's Book Nook

Nice haul. I read the Cajun werewolf story; it was okay but I hadn’t read the other books in the series and it didn’t work as a stand alone. Twisted Threads looks good and so tempting. 😀

The Scarecrow and Mrs. King? Wow, I haven’t watched that in years. I enjoyed that when it was on the TV the first time.

I had a stomach big last week too. 🙁 Let’s hope that it for us and we stay healthy!

    • Stormi

Yeah, I wondered if the Christmas story would not make sense since it was like book six, but got it anyway and then found book one for free so I thought well, I could at least give the first one a try and see if I would even want catch up the the Christmas one..lol. 🙂

I bought all four seasons of Scarecrow and Mrs. King and I binge on them a lot!! It was my fav. growing up..well that and Magnum PI, Murder She Wrote, Simon and Simon…lol. I loved the crime shows back then and still do today. 🙂

      Have a great week!

  7. Greg

I love some of those old 80’s shows… haven’t seen that in ages! I should get some of those on DVD. I’m also partial to the old Hawaii Five- O, even though I was pretty young- must be the theme song or something stuck with me. 🙂 They probably wouldn’t be very good if I saw them now!

The Cloak and Dagger challenge looks good- I saw that one through a link on Berls’ blog (I think) and with all the mysteries I’ve been reading, that one might be a no- brainer.

  8. Lorna

I watched all the Scarecrow and Mrs.King shows when it was on, and loved them too! Glad you are feeling better :)oh, and Happy Wrapping!(sorry!)
