BMR,OHMy (1)The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading? ย If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

So I have been very busy this week working on my graphic arts project. It is coming along pretty good but man does it take a long time, even trying to make bigger shapes…after we finish it our next project is to make a magazine layout of the pic. So it’s like two projects in one. ๐Ÿ™‚ Then we have one last project I think. May 17th is the last day of class. It’s going by quick now. Felt really busy this week and only cause I can listen and make shapes was I able to get any reading done it seems. ๐Ÿ™‚

Planted some veggies in the garden as well. I have four tomato plants so far, need more. Two bell pepper plants, one jalapeno and one pablano plant, and Eggplant. Some cauliflower, zucchini and cucumbers. I have lettuce, spinach and radish seeds planted. I have 15 potato plants finally looking good so the garden is starting to look like it should. ๐Ÿ™‚ Hopefully I will have pictures of my garden soon and start my How Does My Garden Grow post.

What you might have missed on my blog

Books I have added

  • He’s Got Rhythm – I love old musicals and Gene Kelly is one of my favorites, so even though I don’t read a lot of non-fiction I couldn’t pass up one about him. ๐Ÿ™‚

ย ย

  • Game of Shadows – I squeed a bit with this one as I really liked this one when I read the eARC so to get a hard copy for my shelf is just awesome!!! Thanks TOR!!!!
  • Shadowcaster – I still need to read book one! Eek. Thanks Harper Collins!
  • Snared – They are so kind to send me these books but they started at the later inย the series ones and I have only read book one…but maybe some day I will catch up. ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks Simon and Schuester!

So I had a cool week for in the mail books! Doesn’t happen often!

  • Bellamy and the Brute – It’s totally a #Michellemademedoit as she had this on her #wishlist post the other day and so I of course put it on my wishlist and then seen it go on sale for .99 and grabbed it…lol.

Books read last week

ย ย

  • Silence of the Jams – This was a good second in series cozy mystery. I will be on the look out for book three.
  • Dead Like Me – Was a good start to a crime series and I am curious about book two.
  • A Spell of Trouble – Cute paranormal cozy and can’t wait to get the next one.

What I am watching

Slowly getting use to just my streaming channels and watching things the next day instead of when they actually come on. Still explaining things to dad…lol. This week I found two new Netflix finds via Karen from Well Read Pirate Queen. We are Facebook friends and we both enjoy the same kinds of shows. So this week it has been Father Brown Mysteries and The Doctor Blake Mysteries. Also my favorite mystery shows on the Hallmark Mystery and Movie channel over the weekend on Sling. I am excited to be able to watch Ghost Adventures and Bizarre Foods and we have the Travel Channel now with Sling!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Glad your class is going well. I’m jealous of your jalapeรฑo plant! Why the heck don’t I have one? ๐Ÿค” I looooove jalapeรฑos. I pretty much never watch shows when they originally air. Except for The Walking Dead. Anyway, have a great week and enjoy your books.

  2. You’ll be finished with class in no time. Mr. Barb graduated 6th. I like non fiction if it deals with famous people or dogs. Not much into self help. Been reading some this weekend but took Grandpa out Friday for lunch and a small trip and he came for dinner today. Damn cousins are driving him nuts. Great books from Tor. That was a nice surprise. I still need to read Game of Shadows.

It’s coming fast, I am ready for a break even though it’s just two days a week…lol. Though as soon as class is done I am off to the Philippines with my dad for three weeks so it’s rush rush rush. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Good luck with the projects! And tomato plants- I hate buying store tomatoes once tomato season comes, they’re so much better out of the garden.

Game of shadows looks kinda good.

I’ve been thinking of trying the Doctor Blake Mysteries after hearing several bloggers mention it now.

    • Stormi

I will only eat the ones out of the garden, the rest of the year I don’t really eat tomatoes…lol. So I hope they do good!

If you like YA fantasy adventures then you would like Game of Shadows.

OMG, you need to try Doctor Blake, I have binged it all and I hope there will be more cause I need more!! ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Wait, the Father Brown Mysteries are on Netflix streaming? [bustles off to look] Huzzah, they are! I know what I’ll be watching for a bit! I’ve seen one or two of them, and liked them. They take a lot of liberties from the short stories, but they’re good.

Good luck with your projects and I hope you have a great week! And what a terrific book haul!

    • Stormi

I am glad I could help you find Father Brown Mysteries on Netflix, you should try Doctor Blake too…lol. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I didn’t know Father Brown was based on any type of story but I should have it seems like all the mysteries are based on books…lol.

  5. I love the cover for A Wee Dose Of Death! LOL So adorable. I got the hardcover copy of Game Of Shadows too! It sounds really good. I don’t know how you find time for everything. Books, garden, designing. You go girl! I just finished the 3rd season of Dr. Blake. I’m so hooked!

    • Stormi

I do to, it’s so cute! I really liked Game of Shadows, it was not what I normally read but at the time I think it was just what I needed.

I finished Dr. Blake and I need more, I was about to smack him at the end but he redeemed himself…lol.

Now I just hope all the rain we are getting don’t kill them all as it might be death by drowning. ๐Ÿ™

  6. It’s still a little early for planting where I am, so I wish you luck with the gardening! Also good luck with your projects!

  7. We still need to do some catching up in the garden and were knocked back when all our water pipes needed replacing. Still, there’s plenty of time yet – it’s not a good idea to plant anything out in the UK that isn’t hardy until the start of May as we can still get late frosts up to that time. Glad your garden is going well. Glad you like the Father Brown Mysteries and the Doctor Blake Mysteries – I’m fond of those ones too:). I love the look of your new books. Have a great week.
