The Week In Review #129

February 26, 2017 Misc. 10

BMR,OHMy (1)The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading?  If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

This week was not a bad week, I only had one day of class because of Presidents day. 🙂 It’s only a Monday/Wednesday class. He has finally set a deadline on our icon project so now I am getting nervous and frantic…lol. It’s due in two weeks.

This weeks weather has been very erratic, it was in the 80’s for two days and then 50’s and 40’s during the days for the weekend with lows in the 20’s. Then next week it goes back up to the 60’s and 70’s. It’s kind of like make up your mind are you wanting to do winter or go on to spring…lol.

Not much more to report this week. 🙂

What you might have missed on my blog

Books I have added

  • The Beast is an Animal – So I requested this one from Edelweiss last year and pretty much gave up on it and then boom. 🙂 I like beauty and the beast type retellings.
  • A Cruel Necessity – Lately I have really been enjoying historical mysteries and couldn’t keep my clicking figures from getting it…lol.
  • Keep in a Cold Dark Place – #Barbmademedoit! 🙂 I seen this yesterday on Barbs stack and requested it and bam, got it…lol. I wasn’t expecting approval so quickly. 🙂
  • Wed to a Spy – Emails, those horrid emails telling me about such lovely things as this! I like historical romance books with spies! 🙂
  • A Lady’s Code of Misconduct – blog tour email from the publisher and I just loved the blurb. Though I should have done my homework as it’s book 5! Sighs, my OCD for reading out of order is going to get me while I read this…lol.

Yes, I have failed. I said I wasn’t going to get as many review books this year but they are all so pretty, just look at them….my precious!!!!!

Free when I got them.

  • Fire in the Woods – Heard good things about this one so I was excited to see it went free. 🙂
  • Ice Blue – I love mysteries that feature Lords and Ladies as the sleuths. 🙂

Books read last week

  • Game of Shadows – This was really good. I don’t normally read fantasy adventure types but maybe I needed something different cause it was just great! 🙂 But it had a little bit of a cliffie, so now I want the next one!! 🙂
  • I Blew Up the Moon – Book two in the Please Don’t Tell My Parents series and it was good but I liked book one better. I hope book three will be better than this one.
  • Dark Crimes – Book one is a British crime series and I liked it. I love being introduced to new Detective Inspectors. 🙂

Currently reading

  • All Good Deeds – I am about 18% into this one, was suppose to read it for TBR pile meme but got wrapped up in Game of Shadows and since my reading has been a bit slumped I couldn’t leave a great read…lol. So far it’s been good.
  • Conquered by the Highlander – I felt I was in need of a good highland romance to break up all the crime novels I have been reading lately. 🙂 Just started this today.

What might be up next

How was your week? What did you get?

I swore I wasn’t going to get as many review books this year either but haven’t been doing that great! Some of that blame is on you! You’ll get the assignment done as long as you don’t do what I did which was always put it off till the last minute and then have to scramble on the last day! Super curious about the Meredith Duran. I’ve been wanting to read more historicals lately and that one looks tempting! Have a great week!

I was never approved for The Beast is an Animal but plan on grabbing a copy when it’s out, or is it already out. Glad I could enable – haha. I couldn’t resist the cover on that book and hey, more books to buddy read! Our weather has been like that too. I had spring fever so back Friday since it was almost 80 and then last night it was in the 20’s again. Oh well, if we can finish out winter without a major snowstorm, I’ll be happy!
