The Week In Review #124

January 15, 2017 Misc. 20

BMR,OHMy (1)The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading?  If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

More crazy weather happening and I know it’s going on all over…lol. 70 on Wednesday then we had a winter storm warming coming in (ICE)over the weekend and now the week is suppose to be in the 50’s and 60’s…so weird. (We didn’t get much ice, but it was enough to stay indoors)

Start my class on Wednesday, this time I am sure…lol. 🙂 So I hope I like it and it’s not to hard, I am so curious…lol.

What you might have missed on my blog

Books I have added

Okay so my not grabbing anything is not working very well, though one is  for a blog tour. Sighs, I just don’t have the willpower!! 🙂 It could have been worse! LOL

Netgalley

  • Ill Will – Those darn Netgalley emails, it got me…lol. Psychological thriller and it sounded so good just couldn’t pass it up.
  • Purr M for Murder – New series from this author, I have been listening to her other cat series and this one came up for a blog tour, so I signed up. 🙂

Bought

When I see a Tonya Kappes book on sale, I always got to get it. Eventually, I will have all of these two series. I’m a penny pincher with a low book budget…lol. I saw a Miss Seeton book on someone’s blog and can’t remember who, but anyway I went to check out book one and seen it for only .99 so had to grab it to try. 🙂 Read the first book in the Naturals and wanted to read the next one so seen it for 1.99 so scooped it up while it was on sale. 🙂

Freebies

Books read last week

So I have too much time on my hands right now, but that will soon change…lol.

  • Batgirl at Superhero High was a fast read from a series I adore. Lots of fun!
  • Consumed and Committed were both great books in the Agent Rawlings series I did like Consumed more, it was very gruesome…lol.
  • Claws for Alarm – Must be in a cat cozy mood or something…this one was fun.
  • Relatively Dead – Is not really a cozy but it’s the only thing I could think off since there is a mystery of sorts…it was interesting.
  • Two Tall Tails – Very short listen with two cat novellas, one from the series I have actually read and caught up on, and the other from a series I want to try but haven’t yet.
  • Dead and Breakfast -Enjoyed it but for some reason it took a while to get into it, was probably just me. 🙂

You really have no will power! lol We both have no will power. I have no intention of ever stopping from grabbing books. That is why I love KU so much, I am using the heck out of it. 🙂

The Weather has been really weird here also. It was 70 Wednesday and I had shorts on. I wish it would just pick a temp.

Have a great week, Stormi! Good Luck with your class, let me know how it goes!
    Happy Reading! ox

The weather has been mild here. It was warm throughout the week and is now cooler. A lot of mist in the air. I hope you enjoy your new class!

Those temperature swings are insane – pity the poor plants and animals trying to survive… Your book haul is impressive – I’m intrigued by Batgirl at Superhero High. Is it a children’s book? Have a great week and I hope your weather calms down a bit!

Good luck with your class! And the weather has been kinda wacky… although mostly cold here. 🙁

Hope Moon Called is good, I want to read that one. And yeah those .99 and 1.99 deals- those are hard to resist. 🙂

Yay! You’re reading Moon Called! Squee! Are you loving it? Are you listening? I actually read that series, but I know the narration is good.

The weather sounds completely mad. How do you decide what to wear? I can’t decide whether to read the river at night. I want to but am not sure it’s for me…decisions decisions. Have a good week and hope classes go well.

I totally know what you mean by having a tough time not adding to my books. I actually did pretty well for a while, but then I joined the Debut Author Challenge again and went to see what I could grab for that, which then including me grabbing more than just the debuts I found. :/ Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous week!

Sounds like your weather has been as weird as ours. Here’s hoping it settles down to normal. I could do without the ice, though I don’t mind snow now and then.

I like the look of some of those cozy mysteries, and I’ll have to check out your review of Striding Folly — I love Lord Peter Wimsey!

Your weather is crazy. I hope you enjoy your class. My daughter starts new classes tomorrow and she’s already whining she doesn’t want to go. I wish I can stay home too lol. I hope you are enjoying Moon Called! I need to get caught up on the series. Have a great week!
