BMR,OHMy (1)The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading?  If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

I am so through with 2016, so we need to hurry and get to 2017 so things can start fresh and maybe we can have a spot of good luck. In our family though we always said if it wasn’t for bad luck we would have no luck at all. So my father’s car broke down and he has a part ordered but it won’t get here till next Friday. So we were using my clunker and low and behold it breaks down too but worse than his, as it’s either the drive shaft or transmission, so mine is down for a while. 🙁 So we were pretty frantic as we had no car. So dad sees a truck for $2500 and it looked nice and ran okay so he buys it and tried to get it tagged but of course the place was closed. The things is when they took it to get it inspected he finds out that he needs to fix a ball joint or something like that, simple fix but another 60 dollars we don’t really have but at least it runs and we have something to get use from point A to point B, but gaaaaaaah I am so done with 2016, it seems it was like lets just crap all over them at the end of the year. 🙁

On a happier note, Merry Christmas to all my blogging friends around the world!!! 🙂 We had our Christmas on Christmas Eve and had pizza and cupcakes. My aunt said it felt weird not to be cooking but she had surgery on her thumb so wouldn’t be able to cook and pizza was just an easy and yummy fix. 🙂

I hope the bookish Santa comes and visits everyone this year!

What you might have missed on my blog

Books I have added

#barbmademedoit as I am pretty sure I seen this one on her blog at one time or 🙂

Had a publisher send me coloring books, interesting. Now my question to you is what do you use to color them? Markers, colored pencils, does anything work?

Secret Santa

My secret Santa was just the coolest!! I can’t wait to try this series and I love my Freddy Krueger plush and bookmark, and of course candy! 🙂 Thanks Kathy!!!

This one just sounded interesting and so when it went on sale I couldn’t help but get it 🙂

Audiobook (credit)

I was in need of a Krewe of Hunter fix so got the next one I needed in the series. 🙂

Books read last week

When it comes to audios this week I was on a role, but any other type of reading has kind of slumped.

Currently reading

  • For some reason, I am still stuck on these two ebooks and not sure why. 🙁 It’s not that they are bad just don’t seem to have time for them.
  • The Old Witcheroo – this will have me caught up on this series, this series is a lot of fun! 🙂

What might be up next

How was your week? What did you get?

  1. Sorry to hear about the cars, Stormi. I’ll join you in bad luck. Had a water leak last month and thought we had it figured out. Should have had a credit on my water bill. Nope. Another one for over $300! Apparently there is a leak somewhere and no way to do anything about it until Monday. Hopefully can find someone to come out and take a look ASAP! It’s always something.
Here’s to a new year and Happy Holidays:)

  2. Merry Christmas!!
I feel your pain, we just had to drop 250 for a new starter. Car issues suck. But it sounds like your having a nice Christmas. On the coloring books I prefer colored pencils. I just think they look nicer. Enjoy!!

  3. Yep pretty sure you saw Game of Shadow’s on my blog. Cars suck. At least I’m grateful mine was just a starter a few weeks ago. I use colored pencils and gel pens on my coloring but yea, pretty much anything goes. After Christmas winds down today I hope I can get back to my reading.

  4. Merry Christmas! I am sure 2017 will be your year!! Hang in there!
I have colored pencils and markers for coloring. I like that the markers are finer points but if you have a larger area to color, that can be a pain! I’m hoping to figure out how to sharpen my pencils better (usually they just end up breaking off!).

  5. Car problems suck. I hope you love all of your new books. For the coloring books, depending on the paper, I love using Color Pencils, especially my prismacolors and polychromos ones. Great haul of books.

  6. I am so sorry to hear about your car issues. I have been there and it really sucks. I hope everything gets sorted out for your guys.
I am always amazed at all the stuff you get done every week. Even this past week, which was crazy for you with the damn cars breaking, you still managed to get four books read and a ton of new posts up. You are amazing. I hope this week is much better for you.

  7. I’m with you about being “so through” with 2016! Too many negative things, and when we look back, it feels as though it was polluted by those campaigns, the election, and then every other little thing that could go wrong that did. Good luck with the cars!

Looking forward to 2017, and my One Word (per Book Journey’s challenge) is HOPE.

Merry Christmas! We had ours last night at my daughter’s, and today I have yummy leftovers…and eggnog.

  8. I’m so sorry to hear what you’ve been going through, but like you, I’m done with 2016 and ready for 2017. 2015 wasn’t very good for me either, so I’m hoping all will start off well in 2017.

Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! Happy New Year!

  9. Merry Christmas!! Sorry to hear about the car troubles-this has been a crappy year. 🙂 Let’s hope 2017 is better.

Game of Shadows looks good, and glad to see Sword of Summer is a good one.

  10. Merry Christmas! I can so relate to the car troubles. That seemed like every car we ever owned. I’m glad you were able to find something in the meantime. Hopefully 2017 brings better luck!

  11. Sorry to hear about your bout of bad luck :(. It always seems to come all at once when things go wrong. I hope you had a great Christmas!

Neat you got some coloring books, you can usually use both pencils and markers, but it depends a bit on the coloring book as I’ve heard sometimes markers can bleed through. Enjoy your new books and have a great week!
