The Week In Review #119

October 28, 2018 Memes 16

BMR,OHMy (1)The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading? Β If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

So my project went pretty good and I promise I will show it to you but I forgot my flashdrive downstairs and I am lazy and it’s late and I didn’t want to go and get it…lol. Next week! πŸ™‚

Next project is to animate a logo and he said I could use the logo I made in my other class so that’s half the project down. πŸ™‚ I have and idea of what I want to do if I can pull it off.

I can’t believe that it’s almost November, where did October go????!

Oh we actually got a small glimpse of fall again but it will be going back to cold again. πŸ™

Happy reading!

What you might have missed on my blog

Books I have added

Get ready to faint everyone! πŸ™‚ No Netgalley books! Twice in one month it’s a record! LOL. I did get a couple from publishers in the mail though but I still consider this a win…lol.

From Publishers:

  • Night Shift – Antarctica. A mining base at the edge of the world. Last minute replacement for head of security. Sabotage, etc. Sounds like my kind of book. Thanks Flame Tree Press!
  • Anonymous Girl –Β Seeking women ages 18–32 to participate in a study on ethics and morality. Generous compensation. Anonymity guaranteed. Well, that sounds interesting. So I got picked to be on the advance readers campaign for this one and I know it’s a thriller but not much else. So I can’t wait to try it. Thanks St. Martin’s Press!

Library Loot

  • Book, Line and Sinker – Book three in the Library Lovers series and yes, I have a problem, not really!! I am binging this series!! πŸ™‚
  • White Night – Book 9 of the Dresden Files and well maybe I have picked up my interest in this series again and might be binging a bit on it too…lol.

Books read last week

Β Β Β
  • Due or Die – Second book in the Library Lovers series and currently my new favorite cozy series! If you couldn’t tell…lol.
  • The House By The Cemetery – I had high hopes for this one but it was an utter failure! The main MC (there was multiple povs) was such a lame hormone driven idiot I have ever read about!
  • Proven Guilty – Book 8 in the Dresden Files series and it was REALLY GOOD!Β  Probably one of my favorites!
  • Help! We Have Strange Power – This was cute and my third Goosebumps book and I am seeing a theme of two kids. They have all had two kids in them…lol.

“Curses, Boiled Again!” is such a clever title that I laughed out loud. I picked up Atonement, Tennessee by Teagan Geneviene, an urban fantasy mixed with Celtic mythology and flavored with a slightly spooky supernatural edge.

I know, now I don’t have to actually come up with a logo, I can just go right to my idea of animating it.

  2. Jan @ Notes from a Readerholic

I love The Dresden series, but am a few books behind. I really need to pick it up again.

I can’t believe it’s almost November either. October went by much too fast. Good luck on your next project. Learning to animate projects sounds like it would be fun, Stormi. Hope you have a good week.

The Dresden files is so fun! I have a long ways to go to get caught up! It’s my goal though especially for next year to catch up on series.

I’m curious to see your project. Always fun:) It’s a bit like fall here. Cooler nights but still warm during the day. Loving that! And some great reads this week, Stormi. You are contributing to my TBR. LOL

    • Stormi

I will make sure to show it off next week! πŸ™‚ I think we add a lot of books to each others TBR list. πŸ˜‰

I know! You are about to catch up with me…lol. When I listen to one I can’t help but want to dive into another one! So addictive and they just get better and better!

Need to pick up some goosebumps books to read. Those are the only ones I never read when I was younger. Just Fear Street and Point Horror.

I am looking forward to seeing your animation. πŸ™‚ I am loving the cold and today was in the 50s I LOVED IT! πŸ™‚

Have a great week, Stormi! Happy Reading! ox

I saw the sequel to Rosemarked on someone’s Waiting on Wednesday post last week. Curious to hear your thoughts. I can’t wait to see what you do with you logo. I already love it so I’m sure it will be great. And I TOTALLY understand the too lazy to go downstairs feeling.

  6. Greg

Glad your project went well! And it’s definitely starting to feel like late fall around here… we’re getting pretty chilly now.

Thanks for the suggestion BTW for Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. I will have to check that one out. πŸ™‚
