The Week In Review #111

October 30, 2016 Memes 18

BMR,OHMy (1)The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading?  If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

Just another average week here is Missouri. The weather has been really nice and I love it, it’s not Oct. weather at all and that is probably why I like it…lol. It’s been in the high 70’s to low 80’s and it’s just awesome…lol. 🙂

So been trying to the blog ahead challenge and well I am just not doing well…lol. I have so failed this challenge and there is only like one day left of it. Oh well, I tried, just too busy with reviewing and schooling…lol.

Dad and I finished our second week of going to the Y and I am happy to report that I am not so sore anymore. Sometimes I get a little sore afterward but it goes away. Can’t see a difference yet but it hasn’t been long enough yet. 🙂 They had their Halloween thing on Friday and let me tell you this guy who works there dressed up and Fred Flintstone and he was just perfect for the part…lol. Little heavyset, dark brown short hair, and his face even resembled the character…I don’t dress up but I sure enjoy seeing what others dress up as. 🙂

What you might have missed on my blog

Books I have added

stalked skitter dc-supergirls
  • Stalked – Profiler #4, I have enjoyed this series so I was excited to run across book four as I didn’t know it was coming out. 🙂
  • Skitter – Hatching #2 – ready to be creeped out by some more spider apocalypse action…lol. (doesn’t come out till next year)
  • DC Superhero Girls – I have enjoyed the books that are about the superhero girls so I thought this graphic novel might be fun. 🙂

Books read last week

Beeline to Murder amateurs stone-maiden
  • Beeline to Murder – One of my blogger shame books as I should have read this a long time ago and not sure why I didn’t as it was really good.
  • Amateurs – Whoo hoo, I actually finished a review book before it comes out! 🙂 This was really good and I soooo need the next book now. 🙂
  • Stone Maidens – This was a KU pick and didn’t know what I would think about it but it was really pretty good. Serial killer, suspense, little romance. 🙂

Currently reading

graveyard-apartment real-murder get-witch-or-die-trying dead-and-kicking
  • The Graveyard Apartment – This one is a little slow to start so I am gradually reading it and it kind of got booted down for the other ones on my currently reading list. 🙂 About 10% in.
  • Real Murders – Been wanting to read this one for a while and I am doing a Cozy Mystery Bingo Challenge on Goodreads and the theme for this week was books, so it fit. 🙂 Not officially started this one yet.
  • Get Witch or Die Trying – I just finished Betting Off Dead and just couldn’t wait to jump into this one as I love the crazy things that happen with Maggie and Mick! I am 22% in and hooked already.
  • Dead and Kicking – Just about half way through this one and it’s been interesting. She can see ghost, her best friend is a werewolf and she has gotten herself in a bit of a mess. 🙂

What might be up next

Congrats on your YMCA workouts. I need to start walking again. I don’t dress up either but my husband has always liked to. We handed out candy last night and have too much left. You’ve read some good books and I need to check out Death at First Sight and Dead and Kicking. Both sound good. Hope you have another week of great weather. We have had above average temps too.

I’ve never been able to blog ahead more than a week but at least you tried. And you accomplished more than I would have lol. I’ve been wanting to read Real Murders since I liked the Sookie series. I hope you enjoy it. Have a great week!

I’ll be really interested to see what you think of Real Murders! It’s so very different from the usual Charlaine Harris but I really like the series. The Beeline Murders is one that I’ve been wanting to read too but just haven’t yet. Glad to hear you enjoyed it. Yay for going to the Y! I’ve been going to the gym here for the last few months and while the number on the scale isn’t going the direction I want it to as quick as I want it to go I’m really beginning to see changes which is just as good! The Fred Flinstone costume sounds hilarious! Have a great week!

Hey nice weather! We’re cooling off here… but not unexpected. Stalked looks interesting and you’ve got Clouds in my Coffee… that’s a good stuff. Boiled Over looks fun, and Cheerleading Can Be Murder I used in one of my cover posts a while back- love that title. And free… hmmm lol.

    Am intrigued by Stalked Stormi!

Well done re the gym! I’m going only rarely at the moment and did a Body Balance (Yoga and Pilates) class on Sunday and can barely walk today as my legs and butt are killing me! I realise if I did more it’d affect me less!
