The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It’s Monday! What are you reading?  If you have never joined in on these meme’s you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

This week was my first week back to college and it didn’t go to bad. I had to take a pre-test in both classes so now they know how much I don’t know about Grammar and Computers…lol. I thought I did pretty good with my reading and blogging even with classes. I am sure I will get a routine going soon and it helps that I got a decent amount of books read ahead, reviewed and posted. 🙂

It’s starting to cool down here some but not too much. It kind of goes back and forth from hot to warm and then we got some rain and the back to hot (muggy). I can’t wait till fall gets here but not looking forward to winter at all.

Hope you will had a good week too!

Everyone seems to be doing classes of some kind. Maybe I should think about continuing my education. I have 2 Associates degrees, but I have no idea where to go from here. lol We were cooling down for a few days then it shot back up into the 90s with humidity. Man, Fall never used to be my favorite season (that would be Spring), but I’m seriously jonesing for some cooler days. *falls over in pool of sweat*

Well, I figured I needed to learn something cause I don’t like the jobs I have been doing…lol. 🙂

I am looking forward to fall but not winter!

Spies and Spells looks super cute. I think I’ve read other things by that author. I need to get to Jersey Devil as well. It was between it and Curioddity and unfortunately I picked the last one -which was a hard read for me because it didn’t really spark me to keep picking it up. One week down with school. My husbands classes are 8 week fast track ones so one week down is a big deal at out house! He will finish his Bachelor’s this year and I’m so proud.

We should totally do a buddy read and then do a tag team review where we post on the same day and then leave the link to each other so they can go check out the other one’s review! 🙂 I have another blogging friend who does that with a lady. 🙂

It’s a bummer that Curioddity turned out to be a dud, it looked cool.

Stormi, I love the tag team review idea. That would be super fun. I’ve not really done any buddy reads and as long as we give it enough time, I shouldn’t have too hard a time reading and posting by a set date. I know you are starting school as well so would you want to aim for 9/12 or 9/15 or maybe even the following week on 9/19? We so many of the same books that if this goes well, maybe we could do it a couple of times a year. Just let me know and you can always email me!

I’m always so excited for people when I hear they are taking classes 🙂 does that make me a nerd or just a teacher? Lol! I keep meaning to ask you what you’re taking (are you working in a degree?) Hope you love your classes and they teach you lots! Have a great week Stormi!

I am going for graphic design. I have wanted to it for a while and after my birthday I just decided to go for it. Maybe it’s midlife crisis…lol. 🙂 I didn’t get into the graphic class as it was already full but I am doing an English class (trying to get better at writing and grammar for my writing…lol) and Computer Applications to learn how to work Office Word, etc. 🙂

Yay for the first week going well! I knew it would! Don’t worry about not knowing all that much at the beginning. You’ll pick it up and you’ll probably take it far more seriously than any kids in the class so it won’t take long to be caught up if you’re behind. I’m glad you got the Body in the Bayou book. It looks great! And the Sherlock books are tempting me too. I need to go check my list and see if I have that Wendy Corsi Staub book. I heard an interview with her about it and it sounded great! I know I bought one but I don’t remember if it was that one or not. Have a great week!

I can’t wait to read Body in the Bayou! Yeah, those Sherlock books are just tempting. 🙂 I have heard good things about Wendy but just not read her yet and I am looking forward to it.

    • Stormi

Yeah, one we start getting more homework stuff I am sure that will be when I figure out more of a routine. I got to read more this week cause we didn’t really do much…lol.

      Books…I can’t help it…BOOKS!! 🙂

Its still crazy hot here! 90’s with 100% humidity! Blah! Hope your college classes go well! Sometimes I think I am better at getting things done when I am busier! It forces me to be more organized or something.
    Awesome book haul! enjoy!

If it makes me more organized then I need more classes…lol. I am horrible unorganized.

I’m so glad your first week back was good. It will get easier and harder as you go further. You will get more into a routine, but you will also have more work for school. I’m sure you will work it all out.

It is miserably hot still in Ohio. I did some volunteer work at the zoo yesterday morning. I was there from 9-noon and I had to peel my clothes off me when I got hope. Eww. I’m ready for Fall. It is my favorite season. Summer is my least favorite because I don’t enjoy heat.

I hope week two goes great for you too.

Yeah, this week was pretty easy but now we will start getting the homework and my reading will go down. I am sure I will get a routine going soon.

Volunteering at a zoo sounds fun but yuck for it being so hot while doing it…lol.

Glad your first week went well! And A Study in scarlet Women looks nice, I like that cover. I hope it cools off, we’re still hot here and muggy if the humidity would just go away I’d be a happy camper lol. I’m looking forward to fall, but yeah not winter so much.

A Study in Scarlet Women does look good so I hope it is..fingers crossed. 🙂

I hear you on the humidity, it would be fine if it would go away. 🙂

Some great new books as usual Stormi and how exciting that you’ve started at college. I hope you enjoy it and get a lot out of it. I’m sure it’ll be challenging but it’s a huge step and you deserve a big congratulations.
