Forget the truth.
Remember the lies.
He wakes up on a deserted beach in Maryland with a gash on his head and wearing only swim trunks. He can't remember who he is. Everything--his identity, his life, his loved ones--has been replaced by a dizzying fog of uncertainty. But returning to his Maine hometown in search of the truth uncovers more questions than answers.
Lily Reid thinks she knows her boyfriend, Jack. Until he goes missing one night, and her frantic search reveals that he's been lying to her since they met, desperate to escape a dark past he'd purposely left behind.
Maya Scott has been trying to find her estranged stepbrother, Asher, since he disappeared without a trace. Having him back, missing memory and all, feels like a miracle. But with a mutual history full of devastating secrets, how far will Maya go to ensure she alone takes them to the grave?
Shared fates intertwine in a twisty, explosive novel of suspense, where unearthing the past might just mean being buried beneath it.

My PC is still dead so I had to make a new graphic, so playing around with it…lol. It still needs some tweeking!

Here is what I thought

This story is told in three different POV’s. So this one starts of with a man on a beach and he can’t remember who he is or where he is from. We follow him as he tries to remember things and he finds a watch with the name Brad so he thinks that is his name, he also has a number.

He calls the number and gets a woman who recognizes his voice and calls him Asher but since he think he is Brad, he believes she is wrong and hangs up. This  woman is Maya a woman whose brother left years ago and she has been wondering what happened to him.

Then we have Lily whose boyfriend is missing and she is trying to find him, but his name is Jack. They find his vehicle by the beach and others think he might have went for a swim and drowned but she won’t believe he is dead. So she is searching for Jack, while this guy ends up finding Maya and eventually they all end up together.

Through the POV’s we find out what exactly Asher/Jack is but you sort of get the since that you are not getting the whole story and he can’t remember things and has to rely on what the other ladies are telling him while he is also starting to have flashes of memory come back.

I thought the characters was okay, but not a lot of depth to them. I didn’t find myself really caring that much about any of them, but I did feel bad for Jack a little since the poor man was really figuring things out to slowly and I was like dude hurry and get your memory back before something bad happens!

I thought I was going to like this one but I ended up figuring out the whole thing and what exactly was going on before I was even halfway in, I think it’s really easy to figure out. There was a small twist at the end but  for me it twisted the wrong way and made me hate the ending.

I might have gave it 3 stars if it wasn’t for the ending but that just ruined things for me. Now it might not bother others because some will say that is the authors vision for their work and that is fine but I like my endings a certain way!  If it sound interesting give it a try but I can’t really recommend it.

Yeah, it ruins the book. I am sure some might like the ending it’s just not how I like them to end. 🙂
