A congressman's daughter who has to be perfect. A star quarterback with a secret. A guy who's tired of being ignored. A clarinet player who's done trying to fit in. An orphaned rebel who wants to teach someone a lesson. A guy who wants people to see him, not his religion.
They couldn't be more different, but before the morning's over, they'll all be trapped in a school that's been rocked by a bombing. When they hear that someone inside is the bomber, they'll also be looking to one another for answers.

First Line

“Don’t Fight,” Cas said from the doorway that Frankie and Z had just disappeared through. Tears glistened in her eyes. “Can we turn the radio back on? Maybe they’ll tell us help is finally coming.”

Here is what I thought

Six students go into their High School a week before it was suppose to open and each had a different reason for being there. Which one is a bomber?

It’s told in six different POV’s and with each student you get a glimpse of how their life is and the reason they are going to the school, each have a backpack and so you just know those bags are hiding something. While they are there  bombs goes off and it’s a race against time to try and survive. They are all spread out in different places and you find out more and more about each of them. Towards the end they all end up in the only part that hasn’t blown up yet and there are still threats looming them.

While they are together they find out from the radio that there is someone on the outside but also someone on the inside who caused the bomb. It gets pretty intense for those six when they find out they are there with a bomber and they have no clue who it could be.

I thought this was a pretty decent read and very realistic to the times we are in, but I found it way too easy to narrow down to who the bomber was and so it lost some of its appeal. I probably had it all wrapped up by about 40% and read on to see if I was right.

I still thought it was a decent read and it reads pretty fast as you really want to know what is going to happen next. If you like this type of YA fiction then you will probably enjoy it.
