Answering Shakespeare trivia comes with the job description for library director Lindsey Norris. But when the Briar Creek Community Theater mounts their newest production of the Bard, she has no intention of leaving the stacks for the stage. Unfortunately a villain is waiting in the wings…
Former Broadway actress Violet La Rue is holding auditions for A Midsummer Night’s Dream—and everyone from the sour spinster librarian Ms. Cole to Lindsey’s youthful library pages are trying out for parts. Brought in to play the mischievous Puck is the flirtatious professional actor Robbie Vine, who seems to have eyes for Lindsey. Before her blush has faded, the Bard’s dream turns into a nightmare—when one of the cast is poisoned. Now Lindsey and her crafternooners must take center stage to unmask the culprit before the final curtain call…

Here is what I thought
Continuing my love of the Library Lovers mystery series and you are probably getting tired of seeing it…lol. 🙂
In this one Violet is directing the community play and all the crafternooners are helping in some way, some tried out for the play and others are working behind the scenes. Violet’s friend Robbie Vine who is a big theatre star has come to help her by being the lead in the play. They are doing A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Robbie is playing Puck, a role that is perfect for him, as he is a bit of a womanizer. He has his sights set on Lindsay which doesn’t settle well with Sully.
Robbie also has his share of haters or those who are not very happy with him. He has an ex-wife and ex-girlfriend that live with him and they are not happy with his flirting with Lindsay and I could go on, so when some things start happening at the theater we all know something bad is going to happen.
Since it’s book #4 I feel it’s getting harder to talk about things without giving away a lot of the good stuff that happens besides the mystery so this is a short review.
I love all the characters in this series, even the Mrs. Cole aka the Lemon! There are some things that happen at the end that I am not real keen on but I will see how it plays out! It has a pretty good mystery though I had it figured out before it ended but I did have to go through a bunch of suspects before I figured out the right ones…lol.
I highly recommend this series, so go grab book one now! 🙂
