Alice is all grown up. Running the Mad Hatter's Cupcakery and Tea Shoppe is a delicious job, until fate--and a fairy godmother with a weakness for bad boys--throws her a curveball. Now, Alice is the newest resident of Wonderland, where the Mad Hatter fuels her fantasies and thrills her body with his dark touch.
The Mad Hatter may have a voice and a body made for sex, but he takes no lovers. Ever. But a determined fairy godmother has forced Alice into Wonderland--and his arms. Now, as desire and madness converge, the Hatter must decide if he will fight the fairy godmother's mating--or fight for Alice.
First Thoughts: Though I am not a Wonderland fan, I thoroughly enjoyed this fun, crazy and sexy fantasy romance.
One of my favorite bloggers Kimberly (Berls) from Fantasy is More Fun, has read and reviewed some of Marie Halls books and they always looked really interesting so I picked up Her Mad Hatter for free (still is free I checked!). So this is the first book by this author I have read but it won’t be the last.
Her Mad Hatter is the start to a romance series about a fairy godmother named Danika who is in charge of the bad boys of fairy land. She finds out that it is really urgent that she finds mates for the bad five. First on her list is Hatter, as he is really going crazy without his Alice. The only problem is, is he has had some bad experiences with other Alice’s and he doesn’t want to try again.
Danika knows she has found THE Alice and she encourages Alice to make Hatter see that she is really different from her ancestor who really hurt Hatter. Along the way you get some interesting riddles that the Hatter mumbles to make him seem really crazy, a little bit of Wonderland fun and one sexy Mad Hatter.
I must admit I am not a huge Alice in Wonderland fan, but my favorite character out of the story has always been the Mad Hatter. So it was a lot more interesting than just reading a whole retelling of Wonderland because it was concentrated on just a romance between Hatter and Alice. Because of this I really enjoyed the fantasy romance. It was quirky and fun, crazy and sexy and I can’t wait to check out some more books in the Kingdom series.
I would recommend this to any one who enjoys Alice in Wonderland, fairy tale retellings, or fantasy romances.
