How on earth did I end up here? I was supposed to be at a party kissing the boy of my dreams, instead I’m dancing naked on the town common, on Halloween, with a Coven of strange women who might be witches, a bunch of zombies that I have to return to their graves, a talking crow, and my pet ghost thrown in for good measure. Just yesterday I was an ordinary teenager…

On her sixteenth birthday Emily Rand discovers that she is a witch. Unable to control her spells she unwittingly raises zombies, and corporealizes the ghost haunting her house. She finds herself in a race against time to put everything right if she has any hope of getting to a certain Halloween party and seeing a certain boy again.

Halloween Magic and Mayhem is a young-adult paranormal comedy romance. Magic & Mayhem Series, Book One

What I thought of this book

This was a cute novella about a teenager who learns that when she turns sixteen she will be a witch. At first she didn’t think she was a very good witch cause she couldn’t do anything though everyone told her they thought she would be powerful.

Then she accidentally knocks her dad’s girlfriends son out and panics and tries a revive spell and not only revives him but turns a ghost back into a boy and ends up waking the dead for miles…lol

Emily was a lot of fun cause she seemed real, she acted like she was sixteen. She wanted to spend time at a dance with the boy she was crushing on not dancing naked with witches…lol.

I think it will be a fun series to continue as this little taste of what the author has to offer was fun and if you like paranormal YA books with humor then you might find this cute as well.

It’s free so why not give it a try!
