The wedding of Alix Madsen and Jared Montgomery is a glorious affair at an elegant little chapel in the woods, followed by dinner and dancing, all while moonlight blankets the festivities in a romantic glow. While most guests are fixed on the happy couple, Jared’s cousin Graydon can’t look away from a bridesmaid, Toby Wyndam. It’s not just her quiet beauty that enthralls him or the way she makes him laugh. Toby possesses the truly remarkable ability of being able to distinguish Graydon from his identical twin brother, Rory. According to family legend, such a gift marks her as Graydon’s True Love.

But Graydon knows there is no possible way that they can ever be together, for he is heir to the Lanconian throne and is to marry a noble woman who has been chosen for him. Yet, intrigued by Toby, he asks her to help him hide on Nantuck for a week away from regal responsibilities. In exchange, he’ll assist her with planning acclaimed novelist Victoria Madsen’s lavish wedding. Since they both know their union is impossible, the pair promises that they will never be more than just friends.

But there’s more going on between Graydon and Toby than her unique power to tell him apart from his twin. At work are forces beyond their control, which are ruled by time itself. Combine that with the magical island of Nantucket, and a seductive spell is cast over Graydon and Toby. If they are to be together, they must change what once was, as well as what will be.

First Line

Graydon Montgomery couldn’t take his eyes off the young woman.

What I thought of this book

Though I admit I haven’t read many Jude Deveraux books I really do adore them! For all Time is the second book in the Nantucket Bride trilogy, but it is also a spin off of one of her most beloved series Montgomery/Taggert from the 1980’s which I really must read. I have read one of the books in the series called Wishes which I loved so much! I never realized how many Montgomery’s were out there till I looked up the series which started in the 1980’s.

In book one we met Alix Madsen and Jared Montgomery, now in book two they have their wedding at the beginning which Toby has helped plan. Some of Jared’s foreign cousins have come for the wedding, two of them are twins and no one can ever tell Rory and Grayden a part so when Toby gets made at Grayden for pretending to be Rory he is mesmerized. There is a saying in their family that who ever can tell the twins a part are destined to be their true love.

The only problem with this is that Grayden is a prince and betrothed to another and he must do his duty to his country. He decides to stay around though and just find out more about the lovely Toby, but others don’t want him there cause they are afraid he will break her heart, but what about his.

There is some past life parts in here that suggest that Toby and Grayden have played these rolls before but just a long time ago and things didn’t work out for them back then either, or could they change things? These little tidbits giving it a slightly ghostly paranormal feel at times which was interesting because the steamy parts of the book came from these parts. Which you would have to read to understand why.

Jude Deveraux has a way of really making you fall for the characters in her books and you really hope for that HEA at the end. I really liked how it ended and was hoping that things would work out the way they did especially with Greydon’s brother Rory. Ingrigued..well get the book…lol..cause I can’t tell you.

The secondary characters are great as well and my favorite is Alix’s mother Victoria as she is an author and flamboyant..lol. Jilly is another favorite.

Whether you are a fan of the Montgomery’s or new to Jude Deveraux I think you will enjoy this fun trilogy set in Nantucket!

OMG, She is not on your list of romance authors..faints…lol. Jude Deveraux is one of those that I read when I was younger and her books always stuck with me so I knew picking up a new series by her would be like going back home. 🙂
