The Tobias Ad Agency is in the running for the coveted Golden Storyboard, and Tobi couldn't be more thrilled—until she discovers it's literally an award to die for.
It’s an honor just to be nominated. But, let's get real, Tobi wants to win. The St. Louis Advertising Awards are like the Oscars for her field, and Tobi is up for its most prestigious prize, Best Overall Ad Campaign. The competition is always fierce, but this year it’s killer . . .
Despite her high hopes, Tobi isn't exactly shocked when she doesn’t win. But she is shocked when the winner, Deidre Ryan, takes the stage only to plummet to her death as a platform suddenly gives way. After the police discover foul play, Tobi's Grandpa Stu wastes no time in nominating suspects. But was Deidre the intended victim—or was someone else meant to take the fatal fall? Now it’s a race to catch a killer in the spotlight, before another nominee gets the booby prize and Tobi gets trapped in a no-win situation.
You know the kid who lurks at the top of the stairs, listening to adult conversations they’re not supposed to hear?
Here is what I thought
Things have been going great for Tobi Tobias and she is up for the Best Ad award and super excited. She knows she probably won’t win but to just be nominated for such a prestigious award has her head spinning. When they announce the winner it’s not Tobi and the winner goes up on stage and she isn’t there long before the stage collapse and the monitor falls and the winner is dead.
They are saying it was a horrible accident but something isn’t sitting well with Tobi. She is sure that she seen in the winner’s eyes what she also noticed that she wasn’t the real winner as it wasn’t her ad about to play on the monitor. So what happened?
Once Tobi realized that Deidre wasn’t the real winner and starts to investigate each of the other nominees and figuring out who was suppose to win and why that person would have won, it exposes a few different suspects.
I love Tobi she is such a fun character! I really just like all the characters as they are just so great and the kind of friends and family you would like, well except for Mrs. Rapple…lol.
Speaking of Mrs. Rapple, you get a bit more about her in this one and it gives you some insight into why she acts the way she does. It was actually a little sad and maybe it will change how Tobi feels about her in the future.
It has a really good mystery though I kind of had it figured out but there was some other parts of the mystery that I didn’t figure out and it ends up being kind of a sad killing…you just have to read it…to get it. 🙂
If you like cozies then you really should try this series it’s great!!!
