Out With The Old/In With the New: July 2014

December 28, 2014 Misc. 7

Outwithold1-1024x1024Michelle @ Because Reading & Berls @ Fantasy is More Fun are recapping 2014 and looking ahead to 2015 the next 12 days. They said to feel free and join them so I am!  I’ll be sharing highlights month-by-month and giving you a peek at my goals for 2015. I thought this sounded like a fun way to refresh my memory on things that went on on my blog during the year. :) I changed the last question on my to reflect my least favorite read instead of a favorite post. :)

Out With The Old: 2014

Some Quick Facts:

Particpated in the Summer Vacation COYER! Love that challenge!

In With The New: 2015

Next Goal:  I really like to write and I need to stop saying I like to write and start writing! I think my fear of failure keeps me from charging on so this year I need to set down and set a certain amount of time aside each day for writing. I always tell myself I am going to write and then I get caught up in playing on the computer whether it’s FB or just checking everyone’s blogs. I need to set up a writing time and then do nothing but writing even if it doesn’t make a lot of sense just write. There is time for editing later. It’s time to let those characters out of my head and onto some paper. I love writing horror, mystery and suspense and lately I have been working on a cozy mystery incorporates another love paranormal. 🙂 So 2015 is my writing year!

I have joined Writing Sidekick but I haven’t really tested it out..lol. Sprint Writing sounds fun and interesting. 🙂

Putting time aside every day to get some writing done sounds like a good plan, I hope you can find some more time to write in 2015.
And don’t be afraid to fail, sometimes it’s better to try and risk failing then to never try at all. That’s when I learned when I finally took the step of starting Lola’s Blog Tours, the beginning is always the hardest, but it get’s easier after a while. And even if your first book isn’t amazing, you still got the achievement of writing a whole book and that has to count for something! I hope 2015 will be your writing year 🙂

Thanks Lola! I know I shouldn’t be afraid of failing but it’s always there in the back of my head. 🙁 I will give a go anyway!
