Monthly Report ~ December

January 2, 2019 Misc. 6

I just can’t believe that 2018 is already over!!! So I didn’t read as many as I would have liked but I also realized I am okay with that and  I think 12 was just fine. I had a lot going on and think I was headed towards a burnout so I just didn’t force myself to read if I didn’t want too.

Reading wise it was a good month because nothing was under a 3 star so I would rather have less read if they are really good books. 🙂

I made my goodreads goal of 160 as I managed 166, though 2019’s goal will be a lot smaller as I don’t want to push myself as much and if I read more I do.

A Run down on book formats read:

Print -14 (Not read that many in a long while!) 🙂

Ebooks – 57

Audiobooks – 95 (audios for the win!) LOL

What I read/listened to in the month of December

Favorites

Challenges

Cloak and Dagger

So my goal for this was 130 but I fell short by 20 books but I am still happy with 110 mystery and thrillers read.

Bookish Resolutions
  • Get my netgalley % up 5 to 10 % from what it is now which is horrid. Failed
  • Read 5 or more of my own print books that are looking at me longingly as if they would like to be read. 🙂 Failed but I did get a couple read.
  • Catch up on at least two series. Success!
  • Complete my Goodreads goal (goal to be determined as I am still thinking about that). Success!

So two out of four isn’t to bad…lol. 🙂

What I hope to get to in January

I have to agree that I would rather read fewer books if they are all really good books. My numbers were also a bit down in December but I tackled a few longer books and the holidays just seem to get busy. Your numbers for the year are great. I hope you have a great January of reading!
