Monthly Report ~ April

Posted May 4, 2020 by Stormi in Misc. / 8 Comments

So where did April go? It sure seemed to go faster than March or I am just losing it! Boredom and moodiness has definitly set in and is damping my reading even though I did read a lot it was mostly audiobooks. I can do that while trying to do other things like blogging, crafting, working outside and just laying on my bed doing nothing cause I am getting the blues!  Reading with my eyes I find myself wondering onto my phone and not looking at my kindle. UGH.

So even with that I still managed to read/listen to 19 books! Some were fairly short so that helped. So my total for the year is 71 and I am ahead of my goodreads goal!

Here is a breakdown of what I read.

2 print book, 4 ebooks and 13 audiobooks

8 mysteries, 6 middle grade, 2 horror, 1 YA contemporary, 1 YA Paranormal, and 1 Fantasy

fourteen 4 stars, one 3.5 stars, three 3 stars, one 1 stars. (Overall a pretty good reading month)

Where I got them:

NetGalley: 2
From Publisher/Author/Publicist: 4
Borrowed/Library/Hoopla: 11
Gifted: 1
Owned: 1

What I read/listened to in the month of April

Since COYER is year long now with different things going on it’s the only one challenge that I am really participating in that will be mentioned here on a monthly basis.

Read 8 books for COYER as it seems a lot of my books are borrowed or print which don’t count but that is okay I got all year…lol.

What I hope to get to in May

Then anything I mood read…lol.

  1. I know! April flew by for me, too. Surprising with the stay-at-home order. It’s hard not to keep picking up your phone when you’re reading right? I though about putting it in another room so I’d be less distracted. Hope your other activities bring your mood up! Happy reading!

  2. That’s a lot of books! I’m just now finding myself able to concentrate and actually get into a book. Reading The Murderbot Diaries series right now and they sure are fun.

You had a busy demanding job working as an essential so I am sure you might only want to rest when not working…lol.

  3. April did go by rather quickly! Or I’m so disoriented by not having to worry about what day it is that I’ve lost my awareness of time. Either one is a possibility. 19 books is fantastic! I’m slowly building in more audio book time – it’s hard with everyone home but I’ve been getting some good listening time in. I enjoyed listening to Wizard of Once. Did you get the version narrated by David Tennant?
