Every princess should be kissed. And by a man who knows what he's doing. Beatricia had been enjoying just that with Farris Turner when she was caught.

But running only drives her into the arms of a stranger. A man who wants to offer her one night together, to offer her the experience her life and duties in the city of Sun-Airor--a place set out of space and time--have denied her.

It'll be her only chance before she's forced to enter a loveless marriage...but who exactly is her stranger? And what will kissing him reveal?

Kissed by Kim Knox was a steamy short novella that was a tad science fiction. I don’t normally do to much sci-fi but by the description I didn’t think it was but once you get to reading it you learn she is not human.  I thought Kissed was a quicky sexy read that was fun and entertaining and sometimes it’s nice to get away from the 3-400 page reads.

Bea, is duty bound by your royalty to marry another royal to keep their blood going. She is not in love with her betrothed but knows that she must do want is expected of her. She falls for one of the guards who was assigned to protect her, but after being caught she jumped to another world. (Here is the sci-fi part as they can some how transport themselves to different worlds.) While at a party she meets a man who tries to convince her to have a one night stand. She is considering it because she wants have some fun before she has to get married.

She just can’t get Turner out of her head and feels a bit like it’s betraying him if she goes off with this man. There is something about this man that reminds her of Turner. He even almost sounds like Turner but in a different body.

Can’t say much more without giving it away because it is a very short novella. Like I said earlier I  enjoyed it but I do think I could have enjoyed it more if it would have been a bit longer. I would have liked to know a little more about where Bea is from, about how they can transport from one place to another and a little more about how Bea and Turner got together before she had to disappear. I guess just a little background type stuff. For a short novel it was pretty sexy  and I really loved how it ended.

If you don’t mind short novellas then I think you should give Kissed a try.
